Easy spinach and hair pack for glowing skin and hair repair

We all know that Spinach is beneficial for our health and is a rich source of beta carotene, lutein and xanthenes etc. Interesting thing is that spinach is widely used by many women in their skin and hair care. In fact it is the most widely used vegetable to naturally enhance the glow of the skin. Vitamin K present in the spinach rejuvenates the skin and regular usage reduces the possibility of skin cancer.
I got this spinach facial and hair care recipe from one of my friend who is a beautician in one of a well known brand. She previously shared with me all the fruit packs which she used on their client. To read about it you can click here.
The facial pack consist of spinach and mint and both are popular beauty ingredients. In fact mint works miraculously for those who suffer with acne .So when we combine spinach and mint it means we are providing the ingredients to the skin which will not only add the glow but with repair the skin too.
Preparation of the pack is pretty simple. All you need is few fresh spinach and mint leaves and put it in your mixer grinder. Add 2tsp of honey in it. Do not add water while grinding them otherwise the pack will become quite thin in consistency.
Those with dry skin can add milk cream (milai).Try to make the pack as thick as possible otherwise when you will apply it on your face it will keep running down. If interested you can mix fuller earth (multani mitti) powder in it for thick consistency.
I used it with fuller earth because I wanted to feel fresh in this scorching heat. I added few drops of rose water also but that is optional. I did it just to rejuvenate myself.
Keep the mask for 15-20 minutes and wash it off with cold water.
You can use this pack (without fuller earth) every day too and see yourself glowing within weeks. Always make fresh mask and try to use baby spinach leaves if possible.
Spinach hair pack
Spinach hair pack is for dull and damaged hair and is an easy but a little messy thing to do.
For the hair pack take ½ cup spinach leaves, add 1 tbsp of honey and 1 tbsp of olive oil or any regular hair oil in it. Blend all the ingredients in a mixer grinder and apply it in your hair for half an hour. Rinse it off as usual with shampoo.
When I was discussing this pack with my aunt she knew it already and tried to show that we girls just act smart and know nothing when compared to them. She told me that she has been using spinach in different way .Whenever she grind spinach whether boiled or raw she keep the pulp for her hair too. She apply the pulp on her hair for 20 minutes or so and rinse it off with the shampoo.
