We all love wraps and rolls .They are easy to make and I keep on trying them in different ways and some how they always taste delicious.Kids love it and it is an easy snack which can be served in morning or evening.
Method and preparation-20-30 minutes
For the Filling
1 chopped carrot chopped or shredded
1 capsicum cut into any shape of your choice
1/2 cup chopped cabbage
2 peeled potatoes chopped
1 chopped green chili (optional)
(You can experiment with many veggies such as mushrooms, cabbage, beans etc)
1tsp oil or more for the wraps
Salt (According to taste)
Black Pepper(According to taste)
1.5tsp cumin seeds
1/2tbsp. shredded cheese(optional)
For the wrap batter
1/2 cup all purpose flour(maida)
1/2 cup semolina (Suji)
Salt according to taste .I added around 1.4tsp
Water which can make Besan (gram flour)chilla like consistency.I added little more than 1 cup water.
Method and Preparation:-
Step1- Heat 1 tbs. of oil in a pan and add cumin seeds in it when hot.
Step2-When seeds starts crackling add all the vegetables.
Step3-Add salt in it and close the lid for 10 minutes for veggies to cook.Keep stirring the veggies in between to avoid burning.
Step4-When cooked at mayonnaise and black pepper in it .Close the flame and keep it aside.
For the wraps:-
Step1-Take a bowl add 1/2 cup all purpose flour (maida)and 1/ cup semolina(suji) in it.
Step2-Add salt according to taste and 1/2 cup water to make a smooth batter.
To make the wraps:-
Step1-Take a non stick pan and add little oil on it.When hot pour the batter on the centre of the pan and spread it in a circular motion.
Step2-Flip it over so that it is cooked from both sides (the way you make parantha)
Step3-When you see some brown spots place the filling in the centre .
Step4-Fold the filling from both the sides.
Serve hot with any chutney or ketchup of your choice.
