Body Shop Brushes – Make up brushes were alien to me few years ago.I thought that I don’t need them as my fingers can do the work better but when I started exploring make up I realized how important brushes are.First I got some local brushes to try out but slowly when I got into brands I could easily make out the difference in the quality of the brushes.
I have been using Body shop mini brush kit since few months and have been pretty satisfied with them.
This is what Body shop claims about the kit.
Best if you want: A portable brush kit that includes an assortment of travel-friendly-size brushes: Blusher Brush, Eyeshadow Brush, Slanted Brush and Lipstick/Concealer Brush.
How it works:
- Super-soft synthetic hairs are long-lasting and specially cut to be extra gentle on delicate face skin.
- Slightly tapered handle made from Forest Stewardship Council wood makes the brush easy to hold and use for controlled, precise application.
- Nifty pocket is just the right size for storing small makeup products
Price of body shop travel makeup brush kit -Rs 600(I don’t remember the exact price)
My experience with the Makeup brush kit:-
1.It has super soft brushes which are easy to use.The best thing is if you are a newbie in make up you can try this out.It has the four most important frequently needed brushes.
2.It comes in a super cute packaging but the black cover gets dirty pretty easily.May be the cloth of the cover is like that.
3.I have washed them three times and still they are in their original self.It also has an inbuilt mirror and when ever I am going some where it helps me out.
4.They are small and therefore for lipstick application and eye brow filling they go really well.Small brushes in some cases do give better application.
5.Price is pretty ok looking at the number of brushes which I have got.
Body shop Lipstick/concealer brush-
Well I have never used for concealing and I don’t think so it can serve the purpose.It is better and in fact quiet good to use for applying lipstick for concealing a NO NO for me.
Cheek blush or Blusher brush- If you have read my blush application post I always prefer using big fluffy blush for blush application but when I am on the go it is not bad to be used .This blush can be used to remove excess make up for sure.
Body Shop Slanted brush-When I tried using it as an eyeliner brush it completely failed but for filling my eye brows it is good.
Body Shop Eye shadow brush-This is one of my favorite brush .It is so soft, of course all the the other brushes are soft too but it is so soft to use on smaller eye area.
The mini make up brush kit is quiet handy and is good to be used by those woman who are office going and like to do their touch up in between.When one is traveling and doesn’t like to carry too much weight with them then this can be quiet helpful.Blending with these brushes is easy.Also those who have small eyes they can reap more benefit with its eye shadow brush.
Cons-Handles of the brushes are too small and some time it does become little difficult to apply make up.
Will I re Purchase-Why will I ?My make brushes last for ages

Oh the slanted one works for me..with eyeshadows…and yup the eyeshadow brush is good, and the blush brush is kind of small. Totally agree with your review

You can buy their long brushes thought one brush cost Rs 600 but they are worth a buy ..if you like exploring make up

Body shop has synthtic brushes and I have few of them..I infact found them more soft than MAC but I have only 2 MAC brushes so I can not actually compalin..
which company brushes do you use?
I think this will be a good brush kit to gift a girl friend…like you mentioned it has all the essentials, and who doesn't need a portable hand bag friendly brush kit to go?!
Yaa u told me before..but its silly no..we woman buy things though it is not needed that time..i hardly need a small kit but still i bought it but i tried it out ..
