When I was young I read almost in all the books that salt is good for the body. It contains sodium and therefore helps our muscles and nerves in performing their function. But now we hear that to reduce your weight one should go slow with salt too. It is confusing and when I asked my doctor she explained me in detail and this is what I understood.
2. Sauces– Yummy chilli sauce, mustard sauce, sweet sauce contains excess amount of sodium then what is required. By replacing sauces with mint chutney, vinegar or lemon we can reduce down the intake of sodium.
