I have dry skin which sometimes becomes sensitive too. I once (read !when I didn’t know anything about Skin care & make-up ) had gone to a parlour and asked the parlour lady which facial would suit my sensitive skin and also lighten some marks, she asked me to get a papaya facial done and I agreed. All along the facial, I didn’t feel any discomfort but that lady had long nails and while doing the facial she accidently pricked my nose twice and it pained a lot! Anyways after the facial, I went back home and the next morning to my horror, I found reddish spots on my face and it started itching very badly.
I visited a Dermatologist the same day and she said it was a mild rash that I got and advised me to keep washing my face with plain water as often as I can and suggested this lotion named Apifil Barrier Repair Lotion along with an ointment to reduce inflammation. I didn’t know why I developed the rash but after reading this recently http://www.wiseshe.com/2011/01/five-must-know-ingredients-for.html I understood it could be any of the reasons mentioned!

Best before 36 months from the manufactured date.
My experience using the lotion:
Though the rash disappeared within a week, I have been using this lotion continuously & I am quite satisfied. This lotion comes in the form of a tube with flip cap & its little runny in texture. Once I apply the cream & rub it lightly, it easily gets absorbed without causing any discomfort or irritation. I am trying to finish this off, so these days I use it as a makeup remover too & I find it mild & soothing.
What I like about the lotion:
- The lotion is very mild & doesn’t cause any discomfort, perfectly suitable if you develop a rash & don’t intend to use any other regular face cream.
- Works best for a dry & sensitive skin.
- It does deliver what it claims.
- The texture is very smooth, gets easily absorbed into the skin without leaving a greasy film.
- Packaging is very simple, comes in the form of a tube with a flip cap.
- A little goes a long way! You just need a pea- size lotion for the entire face.
- Decently priced at Rs.129.
- It has Mild fragrance but not too over-powering.
What I dislike about the lotion:
- It has parabens & chemicals.
- Not suitable for oily skin
Will I recommend this to WiseShe readers?
Yes, I will recommend this to people who have very dry/ sensitive skin or have a tendency to develop rashes. But I wouldn’t suggest prolong usage because it has lots of chemicals!
Will I repurchase this lotion?
Yes only if God forbid I develop a rash again! I am using it as a makeup remover to finish the product ASAP!
P.S Please consult you dermatologist before using this.
