Swami Ramdev Patanjali - Recently my father went to Patanjali Ashram in Haridwar and brought Patanjali Amla Candy for me. I love eating chatpati Awle-ki-goli and this candy being made by Baba RamdAev’s guidance, I couldn’t resist and already had finished half the jar!
Amla or Amloki (what we say in Bengali) is the richest source of Vitamin C among all other fruits. The Chavanprash which many of us love to have or used to have in our childhood has basic ingredient ‘Amla’. It is used in Trifala too (amla+harard+behada) which my mom takes regularly to improve digestion. So here is a much tasty version of Amla: Patanjali Amla Candy….
Ingredients are Amla, sugar and glucose. Let me tell you about its nutritional value per 100gm of the candy:
Total Fat- .25g, Protein-1.19g, Carbohydrate-69.51g, Fiber-8.30g, Calcium-5mg, Phosphorous-3mg, Iron-3mg, Vit C-359mg, Calorific value-285 Kcal.
Patanjali Amla Candy has to varieties,
1) Amla candy which is mild sweet to taste
2) Chatpata amla candy which is has a mixed taste of sweet, sour and chilly, costed Rs 110/- for 500gms. Expires in 6months so you will have to finish it off within 6months (I usually finish within 1month..Lolz!!!)
Vit C is essential for the growth of tissues in our body. Vit C helps our body to form collagen (a protein that forms skin, heel wound, scar) and maintains bones &teeth.
Benefits of having Amla – Indian Gooseberries
# Since it has got high amount of anti-oxidant, it helps in fighting against free radical and thus delay aging.
# It helps to build up resistance against respiratory track diseases like cough, cold, sore throat etc..
# Amla also cures acidity, indigesion and skin disorder also.
# Amla also has Vit E and beta-carotene-well-known antioxidants. Antioxidants block some of the damages caused by free radicals (free radicals are formed in our body when food is transformed into energy)
# Improves immune system of body.
# Its antibacterial and astringent properties prevent infection and help healing of ulcers.
# Amla has great laxative properties and therefore useful in the treatment of constipation and piles.
# It is present in shapoos also (u must have seen Amla-Shikakai shampoo), it makes hair shiny.
Our urban lifestyle is the reason of most of our diseases due to which many toxins gets deposited in the body containing heavy metals like alluminium, lead, nickel. Amla can completely protect us from such toxins and its proven. I have easily managed to include amla in my daily eating habits with Baba Ramdev Amla Candy and I hope you to reap the benefits out of it.

heyyyy i bought this about 6 months ago just to see what an amla candy is like…and i quite liked it….but once i finished off the jar i dint get another….after that i got that string of Anjeer they have there….

I bought this one about 6 months ago to see how an Amla candy looks and tastes like…..must say it was nice….tasted sweet and firm with a wee bit of crunchyness

Swami Ramdevji is a good yoga guru. Amla is a Amla has so many health benefits. Amla is used in many hair tonics. Amla prevents health related hyperlipidaemia through attenuating oxidative stress in the ageing process.
