Hey Guys,
As summers are approaching we start preparing ourselves to face those horrible sweating, pricking heat……. We make sure that all the essentials like our favorite Sunscreen, scarf’s, and sunglasses are with us whenever we are out. This is the time when our skin needs a bit of extra care to prevent it from harmful effects of heat.
One of my favorite face packs which I generally use during summers is Mint Face packs. There are varieties of face packs which you can prepare yourself at home using this wonderful ingredient.Mint has a cleansing, soothing and cooling effect that makes it perfectly suitable for most skin types. After using these packs you’ll notice that your skin has become softer, suppler and clearer since it is known to clear blemishesIt is very helpful in removing blackheads, pimples and acne. It has a great cleansing power. So, Pamper yourself by making and using these five refreshing natural face mask recipes
1)Milk powder, Cucumber, Yogurt, Mint face pack
Mostly I use this pack ……if possible place the pack in fridge for15-20 mins befor applying, this soothes the skin.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cucumber
- 1 tsp Milk powder
- 1 tsp Plain Yogurt
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh Mint leaves
Preparation:
Wash the cucumber and cut it in pieces. Put them together with the milk powder, yogurt and mint leaves in a food processor and mix until you have a nice smooth substance
Spread this gently and equally with your fingertips or with a cotton ball on your clean face and neck
Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes
Then wash it off with a warm wet wash cloth and warm water, end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Finally apply a moisturizer.
2) Basic Mint Face Pack
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Cucumber solid parts (without juice)
- 1/4 cup of finely chopped fresh Mint leaves
- fresh Water
Preparation:
Wash the cucumber and cut it into pieces. Put these in a food processor and mash them. J Stain the cucumber pieces and throw the juice away, just keep the solid parts. You need 1/2 cup of this
Put these cucumber solids together with a bit of fresh water in a pan and warm it up over a slow fire Then add the chopped mint leaves, stir and continue to heat it for 2 mins.Take it off the heat source and let the cucumber mint mix cool down until it is cool enough to apply
Spread this gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck for 15-20 mins.
Then wash it off with cold water; pat your skin dry with a clean towel
cucumber and mint are natural refresheners. So this mint face pack will definitely stimulate and jump-start your skin
3) Clay Mint face Pack (Suitable for Oily Skin)
A clay mint mask especially for oily skin since most clay masks absorb excess oil from your skin
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp Clay powder, choose your favorite
- 1 tsp of finely chopped fresh Mint leaves
- fresh Water
Preparation:
Mix your clay powder with water and the mint until you have a nice smooth paste that will stay on your face without running off
Spread this gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck for 15-20 mins.
Then wash it off .
4) Fullers Earth Yoghurt Mint face Pack
A mint face pack made with Fuller’s earth makes one super cleansing mask. It improves circulation, absorbs dead skin cells and dries up any excess oil
I don’t recommend using it on dry skin but it is excellent for oily skin
Ingredients:
- 1 tsp Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti)
- 1 tsp Plain Yogurt,
- 1 tsp crushed Mint Leaves
How to do it:
Soak the mint leaves and the Fuller’s earth in the yogurt for about 30 minutes. Then mix them thoroughly until you have a nice smooth paste that will stay on your face without it running off
Spread this gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck for 15-20 mins
Then wash it off
5) Egg White Cucumber, Lemon, Apple, Mint face pack
This pack exfoliates and tones your skin
Ingredient:
- 1/2 cucumber
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon of apple juice
- 1 tablespoon of finely chopped fresh Mint leaves
Preparation:
Put the cucumber, egg white, lemon juice, apple juice and mint leaves in a food processor and mix and mash it until you have a nice smooth substance
Spread this gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck for 15-20 mins
Then wash it off .
You can also go for Mint facials in summers.

very informative….i use fuller’s earth mint face pack…..but i dnt add yogurt in it as i have oily combination skin…
