Review – Lotus Herbals Apriscrub Fresh Apricot Scrub Review

Lotus Apricot scrub - We have a love and hate relationship with Lotus brands. Some products just do not work and some make us get hooked to them but as the products are decently priced most of us don’t mind  trying them once in a while. This habit of trying made me buy Lotus Herbals Apriscrub.

Available – In most of the Indian Health and Glow stores, Big Bazaar.

Price of Lotus Herbals Apriscrub is Rs 180 for 185gm (around $4)

Lotus Herbal Apricot Scrub Review

What the product claims -

As your hair n nails grow, your skin grows. Like the former two, your upper skin cells become also dead n new cells are developed below. It is necessary to remove these dead cells to reveal the younger, radiant skin from underneath. Lotus Herbals Apriscrub is the perfect scrub to scrub away these dead cells gently without rupturing your skin. A young, radiant skin is what you get after using this scrub.

How I used it –

After taking out a pea size of the scrub in my palm I use to mix in few drops of water in it.Applied it on the moist face and gently massage it in clockwise and anticlockwise direction.Rinse it well and as it gave a bit of greasy feeling to me I again used face wash to get rid of the oiliness from my face.

Lotus Herbals Apriscrub -Fresh Apricot scrub ingredients

Some ingredients which caught my attention while using the product are:-

Liquid Paraffin -A refined liquid paraffin product ends up as a smooth and effective ointment.

Stearic Acid -Steairic Acid is a fatty acid derived from palm kernel oil, which softens skin. It’s also used as a cosmetic base and emollient

Liquid Paraffin -Liquid paraffin is a boon for those people who have been experiencing dry skin.

My experience with the product:-

Consistency - Scrub is so thick and harsh that if you are not gentle with your skin then it might give red patches or skin irritation easily. It is thick and therefore using it on my face was not that enjoyable.

LOTUS HERBALS-APRISCRUB-FRESH APRICOT SCRUB--REVIEW

Can you see these big harsh granules.Loved using them on my feet more than on my face Razz

LOTUS HERBALS-APRISCRUB-FRESH APRICOT SCRUB--REVIEW

My skin does feel smooth and soft for a while after using it but the greasiness of the product puts me off.

Fragrance - It has a mild apricot fragrance which makes is almost fragrance free.

After using it on my face for 3-4 days I gave it up because my feet love the scrub. Infact it made my feet so soft and clean that I started using it almost every day. It removed the tan from my feets Disdain

After finishing it off I realized that lotus by mistake is a great foot scrub  rather than face scrub GrinGrin

Wise She Rating - 2/5
