No wonder we see new hair care products are introduced in the market every now and then.
Last time I picked Biotique Bio walnut Bark fresh life body building shampoo after reading its review on Wise She.I completely love the Biotique hair product but this time I thought of trying out something different.So I landed up with Biotique Botanical kelp fresh growth protein shampoo.
What the product claims -Kelp is a cold water seaweed high in vitamins, nutrients and minerals, coveted throughout the ages for its hair growth and strengthening properties. This nourishing shampoo is a blend of pure kelp, natural proteins, peppermint oil and mint leaf extract, to gently cleanse hair and invigorate the scalp for fresh growth and healthier shine.

What I liked about Boituque Botanicals Bio Kelp Fresh Growth Protein Shampoo
- Since biotique is an herbal shampoo which has organic base it didn’t itch my scalp and didn’t make me suffer from any hair fall.
- Decently priced and have herbal ingredients
- I used it every alternate days and it didn’t make my hair greasy.
What I didn’t like about Biotique Botanical Bio Kelp Fresh Growth Protein Shampoo
- I was suffering from dandruff and it didn’t help me in reducing it.
- Product doesn’t lather much and I need to make extra effort to clean my hair.
- Product won’t suit dry hair and one bottle finished off with in 15days
- I don’t see any improvement in my hair texture
- Won’t work on colored hair or re bonded hair.
- No improvement in split ends
Will I re-purchase it again – No, I am going to switch back to my previous Biotique walnut shampoo.Not all biotique shampoos works for me still I would like to give Biotique green apple shampoo a try

Even I have tried this bio kelp and green apple, but I always came back to walnut bark shampoo. And green apple made my hair very dry that i had to use it for pedicure only. Just a heads up before you try it Anuradha
And even with the conditioners I found water cress good and bio thyme was bad
i loved Walnut bark shampoo..it made my hair soft ..though not using it any more as i keep trying new one..but glad anuradha reviewed this ..how is Biotique green apple shampoo for dry hair Maha?
Even I loved walnut bark one but kept changing
And green apple makes hair very dry so I don’t think it will suit dry hair. My sis tried the soya one and tat one is drying too.

oh…I bought it a few days back
I have dry hair..lets see how it works for me…I preferred this over the bark shampoo coz this one has no SLS and thats why it is low on lathering which is fine by me 
btw if you are gonna buy green apple, let me warn you that it is for oily hair and doesn’t suit dry hair at all…it did nothing for my hair…

nope not started using it yet….waiting for the current shampoos to finish so might take 2 weeks to start it…
btw I also fail to understand why biotique products are colored as pointed out by Prerna…coz generally the herbal products don’t have colors unless they are adding coloring substances…and I really don’t believe that kelp is so blue especially taking into consideration the amount of kelp they have per bottle….

The color of the shampoo is so unique…mostly all shampoos are white!!

this is my HG shampoo…
and i have dry hair.. 
… two times i had hairfall this shampoo stopped hairfall… this is my 4th bottle..
i mean i have dry hair and this works for me…
So the name of the shampoo is Bio Kelp. And where is Kelp in ingredients list? Here-

Kelp *or* sea salt? lol Kshar definitely means salt. These companies think they can get away with anything. They probably are using no kelp at all, not even 1.2%, there’s likely just a pinch of salt in that bottle.
What u r concluding by this? Good or bad?
Bio kelp – doesnt lather at all, dont know about fresh growth / stopping hair fall effects. but it defeats the purpose of shampooing itself totally, as the hair stays limp and oily after shampooing. Indians usually appy oil before shampooing and if the shampoo doesnt lather well, then hair after shampooing looks and feels unattractive. Its kind of an irony. as it does not have SLS, it does not lather and hence hair stays limp. some shampoos that lather well make hair dry and cause a lot of hair loss. GREEN APPLE IS A BIG NO NO. causes hair fall, makes hair brittle and dry. Cannot confidently comment on Bio kelp about hair loss reduction , as i haven’t used it regularly. Didn’t see significant increase in hair fall is all one can say. Biotique is no miracle brand after all. I hear their face products work well. true?

But yea…biotique face products are good. My favs are fruit pack n chlorophyll gel.
