By Zara, Burt’s Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate oil Review
A couple of years earlier, one of relatives on their return from a US trip had brought a huge bag of Burt’s Bees Lip Balms for all us kiddos. That was the beginning of my tryst with these lip balms. I won’t lie and say this has been the ONLY lip balm I’ve used, but yep, this holds a special part of my heart and my dressing table
Since then, whenever any of my relatives or friends go to the US, I always ask them to bring me a few of these goodies. This time a friend got me a couple of different types of lip balms and I’ll be reviewing them as soon as I use them for some more time. This replenishing lip balm was totally new to me so I picked it to be used first!

My Experience with Burt Bee Lip Balm
I’m really loving this lip balm. It glides like a dream and makes my lips so soft. I have super sensitive lips and hence, very few lipsticks really suit my skin. Furthermore, even when I use lipsticks which are okay for my skin, by evening my lips get chapped and if I don’t moisturize them, by the next day they start flaking. Now since this predicament still doesn’t mean I’m going to give up using lipsticks, I have to make more of an effort to take care of them and keep them healthy. For this very purpose, Burt’s Bees Replenishing Lip Balm fits the bill to a ‘T’.
This lip balm claims to Sooth, Nourish and Hydrate your lips and that’s exactly what it does. From the first swipe onwards starts your journey towards soft lips I know it seems like an exaggeration, but it really does work very well. It doesn’t leave a waxy feeling on application nor does it have any strong smell. On application, there is a faint fruity scent which dissipates within 2-3 minutes.
As claimed, the balm leaves a light, rosey hint of color. I wanted to take a pic of the same, but the color is too faint and doesn’t really show in pictures.
The staying power of this lip balm is seriously commendable. It stays on for more than an hour which in my experience is not the usual case with lip balms which fade within a few minutes of application. I had applied this and after dinner, the balm was still there! A bit faded ofcourse, but still there! Isn’t that awesome?
Another thing which impressed me was the level of hygiene maintained by the company. Even though the lip balm comes in the usual cardboard and plastic packaging, it still has a paper seal around the lid which can be broken by simply twisting the cap. I have included a picture of the seal as well. With regards to the usage, this is a regular wind-up mechanism which is easy to use by all.
What I like about Burt Bee Lip Balm
- Lasting power is fantastic and the best of all lip balms I’ve used till date. I would go as far as to say that this is the best of all other Burt’s Bees Balms I’ve used as well.
- The faint wash of color is very pretty and appealing.
- Hygienic packaging.
- Very moisturizing and heals chapped lips pretty quickly.
- I find the wind-up mechanism of usage very convenient
What I do not like about Burt Bee Lip Balm
- None that I have come across
Will I buy it again: Yes. Yes, Yes!!!
My Rating: 5/5
