Hi All, Lush Face Mask -Glorious Mud
Of all the Lush products I’ve bought lush fascial mud pack probably one of the few which I picked up without any research whatsover.. In fact, I didn’t even have a clear idea of how to use it. I was totally ready for this to turn out to be a dud, but Voila! It’s turned out to be a definite winner..
What Lush has to say about this Body Mask / Scrub
Rub our dynamic, fizzy cube of rhassoul mud all over your body to cover and cleanse. The aloe vera extract is soothing, and the mix of sesame and vanilla will moisturise. Mask your whole body for smooth, soft skin that smells just like the delectable Crème Anglaise body lotion.

Ingredients:
Rhassoul Mud, Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Cold-Pressed Sesame Oil (Sesamum indicum), Aloe Vera Extract (Aloe barbadensis), Perfume, Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), Myrrh Resinoid (Commiphora myrrha), Sweet Orange Oil (Citrus sinensis),Benzyl Salicylate, Coumarin, Limonene
When I saw the block in the store, I was instantly fascinated by it. It reminded me of beaches and the sand…and squishing my toes into the soft, soft sand….sigh…
Because of this nostalgic feeling I impulsively decided to buy this. 
Features of the Glorious Mud Mask:
Packaging: Once I decided to get this, the SA informed me that although Lush advertises this scrub as a huge block to be rubbed onto the skin, it is actually not so. The sand makes the block really soft and fragile. If some force is applied, the entire block would crumble in our hands. Hence, she picked up a block and packaged it in their signature Lush tub. This is especially useful for traveling since there wouldn’t be any danger of spillage. I can vouch for this fact since I’ve carried it to and for a lot of cities and never has there been any mishap. Thanks to the SA who had this foresight and didn’t give me just the block of scrub in their paper bag
- Fragrance: I am in awe of the scent of this product. I never knew mud could be made to smell this good. On first sight, one would imagine it smells exactly like purified mud. Well, you’re mistaken..this scrub has a lovely fragrance of purified Mud and Vanilla..This fragrance lasts for about 1 hr to 1.5hrs max…which is surely an improvement over a lot of their products. The scent is really comforting & calming to the senses.
- Usage: After dampening your body, just spoon out some product into your palms and use directly on skin. After scrubbing, leave it on for about 3 mins or so and then rinse off. Since this is packaged in a tub form, its really easy to mess things up. One has to be really careful not to let moisture get into the container. I use the Baskin Robbins tiny pink spoon ( I use this for scooping out all my tubbed skin care stuff ).
- Texture: The scrub is really soft and smooth to the touch. Once you get it wet though, it becomes a tad bit rough, but at no point is it too harsh or abrasive like the Porridge soap. It feels exactly like wet sand.
- Effectiveness: This scrub gets my full vote in this area. It works very well on my skin. After using this, my skin becomes sooooo soft and it removes my sun tan too Plus, this is perfect to be used on rough areas like our elbows and knees. One of the additional things I like about this is that even though its a scrub, it doesn’t dry out my skin. In fact, I don’t even need to use a moisturizer after using this.
My experience with Lush Glorious Mask
I was very hesitant after coming home with this product and thought that maybe I’d gotten too impulsive with something I didn’t even know how to use. But YouTube zindabaad, I got to know the various ways to use it. One tip is to keep the jar awaaaay from your bathing area. If moisture or a drop of water falls in, it effects the fragrance as well. I would suggest taking the required amount in another bowl with you while going for a bath. This way no risks is involved.
I’ve figured out multiple ways to use this:
- Use on wet body and rinse off immediately. This would only moisturize your skin properly.
- Use on wet body, scrub and rinse off after 3-4 mins. This helps a lot in removing sun tan. Regular use also helps in lightening and smoothening rough areas like elbows and knees
- Mix with yogurt and use on body as a body mask. This helps in cooling the body and also gives that extra spurt of moisture to your skin.
This can also be used on your face even though it’s not advertised for the same. I have used it on my face and I haven’t suffered from any skin reactions.
This is also good for tightening and firming your skin..if used regularly ofcourse And in my opinion its perfect for summers since it helps remove any tanning.

What I like about Lush Glorious Mud Mask

- Very moisturizing and don’t require a moisturizer immediately after using this.
- Helps removing tanning
- Cruelty free product
- It lasts for long since one doesn’t need too much during each use.
What I did not like about Lush Glorious Mud Mask
- Messes up the bathing area
- Has to be very carefully used so that no moisture gets into the container
Will I buy it again: Yess! Absolutely This is the best body scrub i’ve come across till date.

i have used lotus claywhite musk………..and it’s good on me…
its for all skin types…..i have oily skin…………it worked on my skin …………have you sensitive skin?
Yeps Ani..I have very sensi skin…not problematic other than the occasional pimple or rash..but i hav t b really careful with wot i use..
ya thats very good…………..continue product use which suits u for long time…………don’t experiment

Nice product Zara… I heard first time about mud body scrub & it sounds very soothing & refreshing in summers… Does it control sweating for some hours??

Its certaining very soothing..and honestly more moisturizing than refreshing..It doesnt give the zesty feeling which we get after using a minty body wash but its a lovely cozy and clean feeling…I hope m able to explain properly

oH YES.. there r some amazing ones…Fab india has a mint rosemary bodywash, and my fav is Freeman’s Chocolate mint body wash..it smells exactly like the choco mint icecream from baskin robbins
Lush also has a minty body shp called demon in the dark, but m not too fond of it..
Fab India & Lush are not available here but yeah freeman does so Iam going to hunt for this
Oh yes, the Freeman body wash is amazing..It makes u wana run and have chocolate..
Kinda smeels like After * chocolates..

Yep Mitra..I was pretty curious bout it when ki saw it..So it was honestly a chance by..Wud probably not hav picked it up had i been feeling saner
but its really gud for removing sun tan and even for a gud relaxing bath.. 
Zara have you used their Choco cup pack? can you review it if you have..i was so tempted to get it when i saw it in the store but then i wanted to read up a review before i got it..
Nopes dear..i only know of they chocolate n strawberry pack…and they have a ba banana yogurt pack..they banana one was gud…

Ani Coastal scents quality is good from what i heard, but for the same quality and quantity i got Sedona Lace products…and i’m totally awed by their customer service..do check them once before you zero on anything..
ANd no you will have to order them online no shop sells them..
