*Pic from silkygirl website, so show you gals how this remover suppose to be. Do you see the difference in liquid?
Now here is my picture and this how the remover looks if the bottle is shaken and used regular
Product: Silkygirl Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
For Skin Type: NA
Price: SGD 10.90 for 110ml (110ml isn’t that strange calculation, not 100ml or 125ml but 110ml !!)
What does product claim:
A gentle two-phase formula that instantly and effectively removes all traces of your waterproof eye makeup without irritating the eyes. It is soothing and gentle to the delicate around the eye area and leaves no oily residue upon removal. Gentle on sensitive skin
How to use: Shake the bottle well, drop required amount on a cotton pad and remove eye makeup gently.
You see the in the bottom of the bottle the liquid starts to get clear, have to keep like this for some time to make it look clear.
Silkygirl’s Gentle Eye Makeup Remover comes in a clear plastic bottle with a screw on lid. The remover itself in light blue colour and has this watery texture, the blue liquid (refer the 1st picture) has oily texture, which you will see in picture later. It’s a two-phase formula. There are two layers of liquid in the bottle – one is light blue and the other appears to be colourless. You have to shake the bottle well to mix the two together before dispensing the remover onto a cotton pad. The light blue layer resembles oil.
*Do you see the oil like drop in the middle …it will be like this if we don’t shake the bottle well.
Main ingredients are sunflower seed oil. Sunflower seed oil is an emollient and has skin-conditioning properties.
It removes the makeup very well including heavy makeup (not that I wear heavy makeup). If you happen to use false eyelashes then this is for you. In case you are using then this is how you should use the remover:
“Soak cotton pad with remover, held pad against eye for a few seconds and wait for the remover to dissolve the adhesive, the false eyelashes will be detached from lids easily”
What I liked about Silkygirl Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
- Removes water proof makeup too (waterproof mascara, eyeliner and eyeshadow- that’s all I know if you use anything else for eye makeup then it should help to remove that too)
- It didn’t hurt my eyes
- Didn’t leave my skin oily after use (remember to shake the bottle really well!)
- And didn’t break me out.
- I would say over all it’s a good product, I specially like the part removing waterproof make up too.
