TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Serum Review

Bed Head Hair Product – TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Serum

Hi Girls,

I picked this up randomly some time back from my salon. I’ve been using L’oreal Professional Serum for a long time and wanted to experiment with something else. The salon lady was selling the entire range starting from Step 1 to Step 4 which included Shampoo, conditioner, the serum and the last product whose name I can’t recall. I had enough stock of shampoos and conditioners so thought of trying this out. I’d taken the pictures immediately after buying it but wanted to test it out and then review. So now after 4months of usage I think its the right time to review it for you.

  • Quantity: 250ml
  • Price: 950INR
  • Packaging This comes in a large transparent plastic squeezable bottle. It has a twist up nozzle dispenser which is quite convenient, hygienic and safe for travel.
  • Texture & Color The texture is not too thick and is a bit runny. As visible from the bottle, the formula is a nice ocean blue-green color with tiny shimmer particles. The shimmers are very minute though so no worries about it affecting the hair negatively.
  • Fragrance This serum has a mild pineapple sorta scent which is mild to begin with and fades on application. So at no point does thehair smell of pineapple Smile Smile

  • Usage I use this like I would any other serum. After bath, I just squeeze out a coin-sized amount onto my palms and apply to the length of my hair avoiding the roots. The amount to be used would ofcourse depend on the length of your hair. One can also use this to style your hair prior to using a hair dryer. It does protect the hair from heat, but only to a certain extent. What I love bout this serum is that it regular use does help reduce the frizz and gives the hair a nice healthy shine.

What I liked about TIGI Head Control Freak Serum

  • One of the few serums which works on my hair.
  • Its non-sticky and doesn’t make the hair oily.
  • Helps in styling the hair and giving it a healthy bounce.
  • Helps to control curls quite well.
  • Makes the hair a bit shiny and glossy.
  • Only a tiny bit is required.
  • Packaging is quite hygienic

What I did not like about TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Serum

  • Quite pricey
  • Not available easily

Will I buy it again: Yes, ofcourse Smile

So when you walk into office and sway your hair.. do ppl reach out for their goggles Chic Cool

    • hehe..unfortunately no Mals..the shimmer is very tiny and doesnt show up after application..it just makes the hair seem a tad bit glossy but not the celeb style Frown Frown

and sway my hair??? my hair is so uncontrollable that i have to keep them bound always…swaying and swishing is something my hair is not meant for! Cry Cry

  5. na na… I love your hair Zee… at least in the pic it looks cool… Like I said before reminds me of noyonika et all Smile
Btw Zee is this better than the Loreal wala (I have the purple wala bottle… think Ana has the same too). Any idea if we get these pdts in that Horizon wala shop in comm street??

    • i also use the purple bottle Mals..Honeslty both work similarly for me..the only extra point is that the TIGI one lends a bit of sheen to the hair..but then again diff things work differently of all…so id suggest if ur parlor lady has it then just try it once and then make a choice..

additionally, i like tigi better coz its more travel friendly..i dunno if uv faced it but when i try to travel with the l’oreal wala some of it always leaks no mater wot…that doesnt happen with tigi..

    • Hi Krupa..It does help in styling…I have only used it during straightening as a heat protector and it helpos straighten faster than normal…

Tans did mention that this helps her when she wants t straighten her hair with a dryer Smile Smile

Do try it out…its really nice..

  16. Ana thanks. Grin
Zara, agree they aren’t really frizzy but they tend to get a little bit frizzy during winters or when I am in city which has arid dry climate, like at my native and at my-in laws. Mumbai mein kidhar winters and dry climate. It’s all humid and chip chip here. Here to, my hair get oily in 2-3 days time as if i have applied a ton of oil.
