Wise She New Year Mega Mega NYX International Giveaway Entry 2 By Revathy
Ok gals.. back with another review of a product from HipHop… This time its their Instant Makeup Remover Pads…
I bought this product alongwith their Instant Lipstick remover pads I had earlier reviewed in Wiseshe..
I felt that I could carry this pack with me easily so that whenever there are times to head out somewhere straight from office… this would be of much use..
And yeah there are times when I feel the laziest in the world to do anything after a long day… so I thought I was enough wise to buy this…
About the product:
HipHop has comeup so many interesting products…including nail polish & lipstick remover pads… their scrubs are unique too..
They are priced pretty well.. so that u r tempted to give them a try and don’t burn a hole in your pocket if the decision to buy went wrong..
What HipHop Instant Makeup Remover Pads claims:
HipHop makeup remover pads are one-step cleansing treatment specially designed to remove face and eye makeup and gently moisturize the skin.
How to use pads
Swipe pad gently on the face and the eyelids. Take care not to get lather into the eyes. Leave the lather on the cleansed area ad open eyes. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
- Ingredients:Aqua, Normal moisturizing factor, isopropyl myristate, Aloevera, SLES, Triphala, Perfume, Silicon.
- Packaging:Its packaging is similar to other wet pads from HipHop in a round tub with an inner lid and a tweezer. So they are definitely hygienic to use and travel friendly as well
- Price: INR 100 for 30 pads (I got this INR 90 from Urbantouch)
The way I see the Makeup Remover pads:-
The pads are super-moist.. give a cool feeling when it touches the skin… It removes facial makeup pretty fine…
It removes compact, foundation and other face makeup quite well.. I even tried this on my thick-layered sindoor on the forehead…
Yep.. though it couldn’t manage to remove it in the first swipe.. two more swipes had to take my sindoor away..see below picture
My skin didn feel dry after the usage.. maybe because of the aloevera present in it.. the fragrance feels a little strong initially though not irritating..
But tats it… It starts telling you I have done my job for what you paid..
Basically I expected a good eye makeup remover in this compact product… but nay.. not this… it irritates the moment you apply it over the eyes… I jus tried this on my waterline and… I was totally in tears…
I believe even when you don’t use it on your waterline.. but jus to try removing your eyeshadows and eyeliner.. it would hurt..
Plus it didn’t remove my eyeliner totally on the lids and no qstns about the kohl… didn work as expected.. it could only this much of eye makeup as in the below pic…
Major reason is the irritation it causes to the eyes.. I would attribute this to the SLES present in it.. And yes.. there was no lather and stuff too as mentioned in the pack.
So I would only prefer to use this to remove my facial makeup and definitely not for my eyes… I am very happy with my Revlon Lip & Eye Makeup Remover..
The ‘Yes’ factors:
- Good packaging with tweezer
- Pricing
- Presence of aloe vera
The ‘Nay’ factors:
- SLES
- Irritates the eye too very much
- Availability
My rating:
- Availability: 3/5
- Price: 4/5
- Product: 2.5/5 (Doesn’t help to remove eye makeup at all.. Irritates a lot)
