Ponds Flawless White Re-Brightening Night Treatment
I have been on the look-out for a good night cream that will suit my oily, acne-prone skin. I wanted one with multiple benefits like hydrating, toning and lightening since I have a lot acne scars that I would love to send into exile 
. I decided to try Ponds since I’d used a sample sachet of their day cream and it suited me very well. So I went ahead and bought their Day Lotion and Night Cream. I’ll be reviewing the night cream here…
What the company claims:
Extra nourishing, with new VAO-B3 complex*, this revitalizing night cream helps repair daily skin damage and actively lightens while u sleep. Treatment for skin conditions like dull, dry, sun exposed or tired skin.
*VAO-B3 is the Pond’s Institute’s new Vitamin E, Allantoin and Optics powered Niacinamide (B3) complex, especially created to deliver flawlessly radiant skin.

How to use the night cream
- After cleansing your skin, apply and leave overnight. Smooth cream over entire face and neck with your fingertips.
Packaging:
It comes in a heavy frosted glass jar with a translucent pink lid and is shaped like a diya (lamp). The tub looks very attractive sitting on a shelf, but using it is another story altogether. For starters, the glass tub is smooth and slippery. Initially, I was super scared if it was going to slip right out of my hands and break! So if you’re Miss.Butterfingers, you may wanna take note. Secondly, the lid is a tad too large for a jar this size. I feel this would have been a li’l easier to use had the lid been smaller. Once u open the pink lid, there’s a thin, protective white lid covering just the mouth of the tub so that the product will not leak. It has a tiny plastic flap sticking out of it so it’s easier to pull out. I noticed that after a couple of uses, this white lid gets stuck to the outer pink lid. This was fine since even then there was no leakage and I didn’t have to open 2 lids each time I used the productJ. Wish they also had a smaller size of this variant since I find this jar too large to carry while travelling.
Color and Consistency:
The cream is pure white in color. Consistency is neither too thick nor too runny. Absolutely non-greasy! It just melts into ur skin. By the time I’m done massaging the cream into my skin it completely sinks in leaving no greasy after-feel. I love it so much that sometimes I tend to go a li’l overboard and use extra. But even then it doesn’t feel heavy and doesn’t feel like I’m wearing a mask.
Fragrance:
It has a lovely floral fragrance…like a good perfume. Kinda similar to nivea cream I guess. The fragrance does linger for some time but it’s on the milder side and won’t irritate sensitive noses.
Performance/My Experience with Ponds Flawless White Re-Brightening Night Treatment
Most night creams are so heavy and overly moisturizing for my uber oily skin that I wake up looking like I just deep-fried my face in extra-virgin olive oil! (okay…I do tend to over-exaggerate a bit ) I can’t understand why no brand has come up with a night cream for those with oily skin L. Anywayz, this cream doesn’t sit on top of my skin and I don’t look like a greasebag when I wake up. Skin looks fresh and hydrated.
Within a week, I could tell that my scars were fading. They didn’t completely disappear (not that I was expecting miracles, but just saying). But it has made my skin more even-toned and brighter. It also removes mild tan. It didn’t break me out or clog my pores. I did get acne while I was using the cream but the number and frequency has significantly reduced.
On certain days, there was a mild stinging sensation when I applied it on irritated skin. It barely lasts 2 seconds and there was no redness or discomfort. It didn’t bother me at all but I’m mentioning this so that if you have sensitive skin, do take care and do a patch test before purchasing.

- Non-greasy
- Blends well and absorbs easily
- Lightens, hydrates and evens-out skin tone
- Does not clog pores
- Mild floral fragrance
- Spill-proof and attractive packaging
- Will suit dry, combination and oily skin types
- Easily available with testers
- One tub will last for 2-3 months
What I don’t like about Ponds Flawless Night Cream
- Tub packaging can be unhygienic (It’s about time companies started considering providing a spatula with tubs)
- Jar is breakable and large to carry around
- Pricey when compared to other brands
- Contains parabens
- May sting those with very sensitive skin

great post Nafisa! I wouldn’t mind buying this as my first night cream! I too broke out badly this weekend owing to office troubles and fighting really badly with my guy!

It helped ana. But results are so temporary. N the main issue was that it was bleaching all my towels, clothes n pillow covers
Chanel provides a spatula but I cannot pay 4k for a spatula
I have never used any of the whitening-brightening creams. They usually just reduce the melanin count but you make this one sound like its worth buying

This shud be ok for combi skin. But since u hav sensitive skin, i’d reco u do a patch test at a store

I used this in summers and found it a little rich, but not enough so I finished the tub and the results-WOW!
The I used couple of others and have now returned to this again. The only thing I hate is the tub- and that Ms Butterfingers- thats me. Also my OCD means I have to align the cap to the tub and then it becomes really tight. Bah!

I got Loreal true match compact and dropped it and then I got Chambor dry foundation and dropped that one too (they met their fate) Luckily Bodyshop makes sturdier packaging

so thrilled this night cream worked for you. Lotus Nutranite is also a good option for the oily skin type. I use it and works really well. so much so I bought the daily moiturizer and the basil toner too from Lotus
from Ponds I use their youth serum. am not able to figure out whether it is working or not though.
how is lotus nutra nite Appu ?? I use Lotus alpha moist as moisture and absolutely love it
was a little skeptic about nutranite bz i have combi skin… it also has the same AHA stuff na that alpha moist has

shreya – Nutranite is really good for combi skin. in my case i bought the nutranite first and becos it worked, i bought the daily moisturizer as well..
I love lotus products! Dint know Nutranite suited oily skin. Ive heard its kinda greasy. Wat type of skin do u hav appu?
Nafisa – mine is a normal to combi skin type and it works just fine. this is the only skin cream i have finished completely and have bought my second bottle..

i would have got this …. Anyways I did a lot of reasearch for night creams and finaly settled for fab india de pigmentation hope that works slowly to fade my acne marks too… bz with quantity like that its gonna last reallllllyyyy long

yap as of now it is a perfect base i wanted for night and has not even broken me out
but i dont have pigmentation just kinda red acne marks i doubt it would do any benefit but i like it for being just a nice night cream for winters

Hmm….i wouldn’t reccomend it Lancy esp since it stings a li’l n all. Also, u really don need a night cream at this age. U can start once ure in ur twenties
