WiseShe Nyx Giveaway entry #11 by Revathy
Dear gals.. Back with another review.. this time on Nivea Pinkish Boost Lip balm.
I picked this on my last visit to Health & Glow store.. I was looking for a lip balm since winter was approaching then. When I saw this thought, it would work both as a lip balm, gloss and a sunscreen too since this has SPF 15 (3 – in – 1) .
What the product claims:
See below pic.
Ingredients:-
No specific ingredient list. But the product claims about some Pinkish Vitamin Complex and Ginseng in the label.
Packaging:
This comes in traditional lip balm packing wrapped in transparent bulb stuck to a pink carton paper.
Price: INR 175 for 10 ml.
Shelflife: 30 months
The way I see this lip balm:-
My first thought on this is that it’s very innovative. A combo of lip balm, lip gloss and sunscreen in one product sounded fabulous.
The lazy soul inside me jumped with joy of not required to push myself to apply different products!
It’s a pretty baby pink..a little more on the glossy end and is liquidy, making it easy for application all over the lips. But the traditional lip guard packaging is what makes it a tough task.
I tried pressing a little of the tube so that the balm oozes out and applying it directly on the lip. It was a mess to apply with that wedge shaped head of this pack and also felt that it is not hygienic somehow.
From the next time, I take a little out on my hand like some paste out of the tube
and apply it. That worked fine. Later I started its application using a lip brush which makes the job neat and easier.
I use this for everyday wear before setting out for office – so SPF15 is something important for me and I sometimes wear this alone without any lipstick and I simply love the pink on me. I couldn’t classify the fragrance which is a little strong… into fruity or flowery.. it’s a mix of both
There are no shimmer particles and also the staying power isn’t that great. Also its an average moisturizer only.. so if u have very dry/chapped lips.. this isn’t ideal for you.
It didn’t make my lips pink as claimed but did protect from the sun and I can see that they have not darkened due to sun or continuous lipstick usage. Ideal to use over pink lipsticks too.
I love this 3-in-1 lip balm, though it isn’t the great in the market. Something worth in INR 175 for three different actions. See below swatch.

“pinkish vitamin complex”
Seriously ??? …….. new category of vitamins discovered by nivea ……
it’s quite ok ok, and i wonder if it washes you out?
i use Lip balms from labello, n i luv them.. even they are 3-in-1 like this.. but u can’t trust a lip balm when it comes to staying power..
labello was my very first LB…still remember it…i had the pink one first
they are not too moisturising, but yeah the tube wale are just nothing less than a 3-in-1 product, which is handy.. on bare lips or topped on a lippie, never fail to do the job..
yeah.. this one is not very mositurising and wouldnt work much on very dry lips…
pinky pinky loooks promising

i guess the shade is too light for me
uh:
this was my first tinted lipbalm but too sheer for pigmented lips..
I tried the pearly shine shine balm from nivea and loved the feel although the smell is bit strong and the balm also is not that lasting. Hardly lasted an hour or so. The cost of it was Rs.159 for 4.8gms
not even an hour (
