My favourite Estee Lauder Lipsticks-Swatches and Review
I’m a bit lucky but a whole lot more, plain foolish! After letting about half dozen of such beauties rot to their slow death, the makeup lover in me woke up and after slapping me around a bit, she managed to save a few. Of those, these three are my absolute favourite acquisitions and I love them to pieces 
I’ve chosen three different finishes, all of which have the same signature scent(which is amazing!). Without further rambling or ranting, here we go
Oldies first, I’ve been using this lipstick for the past two years almost, which really saddens me considering I’m going to have to let it go soon

It is the : It is the Estee Lauder Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick in 183 Sugar Honey: )
Disclaimer: Kindly do not get shocked at its appearance, it has suffered a severe fall, after which I have successfully followed a Youtube video and repaired it (Yayy!), and now use it only with a lip brush ( I can link the video if any of you want to know )
- The Colour: I would describe this as a very glamorous pink, leaning towards the darker side.
Up swatched thrice and down swatched once
- Moisturization: It doesn’t quite moisturize by itself, but I always wear a lip balm under my lipsticks so its not a bother for me.
- Staying power: That’s where this lipstick shines! (Literally too, but even figuratively
) The consistency is pretty thick compared to other lipsticks but it stays on and on and on, that’s why this is my most faavourite lipsticks for all wedding-sy events where I know it’s going to take a while AND that I’m going to stuff my face 
- Texture&Finish: Creamy, slightly heavy texture with a gorgeous shine finish, without being overly obvious.
- Final Verdict: Love the Colour, Love the Texture, LOVE the Staying power! But, use a lip balm underneath.
Second is a gift from my would-be MIL, part of a set for Warm skin tones(the entire set is Lovely, which is a story for another time)
This is the
Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in 357 Ripe Papaya:
- The Colour: This one is a sheer coral, looks pinkish when swatched but goes on as a pretty coral colour.
Left-Swatched 3times, Right-swatched once
- Moisturization: Delivers moisture without needing a lip balm underneath ( silly me wears one anyway )
- Staying Power: Being a sheer colour, it doesn’t last for very long, but leaves your lips moisturized for a long time after.
- Texture&Finish: Glides on great, sheer wash of shimmery colour ( Crystal, as the name suggests ) It can be built up for more intense finish.
- Final Verdict: Beautiful colour, smooth application, moisturizing, but leaves tiny non-gritty shimmer so don’t skip a lip liner with this one
Third one is my most recent one and I adore it! It is the
Estee Lauder Signature Hydra Lustre lipstick in Spiced Coral:
- The Colour: It is a vibrant coral, bordering on neon, but very wearable.
- Moisturization: It is pretty moisturizing..between the three, this would fall right in the middle.
- Staying Power: Being a bright lipstick, this colour stays on for quite a bit, lasted 3-4 hours on me but that was one rare time that I didn’t eat in between, so can’t say if it lasts after a meal.
- Texture&Finish: It is a non-shimmery, yet smooth textured coral which gives a sleek finish, no intense shine or hint of shimmer so perfect for the day
- Final Verdict: I am loving bright colours right now so this is one lipstick I find myself reaching for most, it works by itself, looks great when layered over a darker shade to mute it ( I use a liquid lipstick which makes the blending easy ), this is easily the most wearable neon-coral I’ve ever seen and it looks Smokin’!

Yaa in swatches it looks pink and even when layered it looks like a wearable neon pink….but single or two swatches it looks coral…great colour overall!

Seriously!! Lightly applied, its gorgeous and brightly applied, its more like a swatch of Vegas Volt that I saw! Absolute delight, it is!

When I put it on, I knew I’d seen it somewhere and with like 4-5 swipes it was such a dupe! LOVE!
Aww dont worry, I read even Maybelline has a dupe, ab ke liye settle for that, in the future if i get a duplicate, it’s definitely yours!

And you know Z, the spiced coral smells all cinammon-y and of spices in general
Even though I hate cinammon in any of my food, turns out I love it on my lips 
I luv lip pies with nice smells..warn a it smells so chemical ish..
Seriously!! All the EL lipsticks have a signature frgrance, it’s absolutely divine! But on the minus side, when I wear it I keep my nose scrunched up to keep smelling it and it looks so weird
now i really wana smeel EL lippies…ive never even gone near one!
and now m picturing u wrinkling u nose to smell it while applying! hehe…..i do a similar thing when i like the fragrance..infact m doint it right now as i type…i pout out lips so that the upper lip curls near my nose and then i take a nice deep breathe…haha!

Estee Lauder lipsticks are so amazing…….I own a couple of them but use color called Mocha from their Signature range on my freelancing clients most of the times.They are very good quality and really worth the price which is a bomb to pay for in India.
U will be enticed with the colors that they offer in their new Pure color range.

Totally agree…the colour payoff, lasting power, moisture..these lipsticks are totally true to whatever claim they make in the range
Luckily I havent had to pay for them yet, but I’m totally in love with these lipsticks…I think a better option will be to hoard up when you’re out of India, best of both worlds minus the ugly custom charges etc.

These were parts of different gift sets Nidhi, I guess that’s why they dont have the fancy-shmancy packaging..but the textures and everything else is absolutely gorgeous!
