Hi All,
Maybelline has begun the year with a bang! A new collection featuring a Liquid mousse foundation, a matte compact and a range of blushes! What more could we ask for? Well, how about the eye tattoos and the bouncy blushes??? i’m so impatient for those…I know, I know, I’m greedy….Sigh…Let me comfort myself by buying what’s available atleast in the mean time 
So here I present, the Maybelline Dream Matte Powder!!! Ta-daaaaaa!!! (Yes, you have to applaud )
About Maybelline Dream Matte Powder
Featuring a formula that gives you an ultra silky texture on your skin, this compact powder is easy to apply on your face. Its suede touch puff smoothes the powder on your skin evenly and without any efforts. You can apply Maybelline New York Dream Matte Powder on your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin with its puff using gently downward strokes.

My take on Maybelline Dream Matte Powder Foundation: -
- Packaging: Maybelline has been concentrating on the packaging a lot I see..First the Liquid mousse foundation which has a pump dispenser which can be locked…and now this compact which is no ordinary pan although it looks so. This baby has a panel on the lower part of the compact which swings out to present a mirror and a puff applicator. Cool right? The front panel is a see through which I like and this entire compact is so easy to carry around albeit a bit larger due to the fancy packaging.
- Price: 475INR
- Quantity: 9gms
- Coverage: Its a really good formula which mattifies my skin perfectly. I use it alone or even to set my foundation. I also use it with the Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation and for touch ups as well.
- Texture: As described by Maybelline, this is air soft and goes on like a dream. But this may not be the right compact for duper dry skin since it makes the skin REALLY matte….so the skin starts feeling a bit flaky. For me, this is perfect for my combi skin and during summers when all the elements decide to pour oil on my face…
- Staying Power: This blots out the oil and keeps my skin matte for atleast 2-3hrs…if not more.
My Verdict: I f you have oily or combi skin, then this is a good investment. But incase one has dry skin, I wouldn’t advice the purchase since.

Cons of Maybelline Dream Matte Powder Foundation:-
- May not be suitable for dry skin since it would make the skin more flaky.

y so Heena?
coz u said it keeps oil bay for 2-3 hrs where as my maybelline UV compact keeps my face oil free for around 5-6 hrs easily..moreover i don’t think dat wid my changing skin moods i can afford a compact which provides complete matte finish
well, every1 has diff skin sweety….my tzone gets super oily in summers….so it lasts 3hrs on my skin…it may last longer or shorter depending on ur skin….
my skin changes too that way…gets paper dyr in the winters…hehe…so irritating na?

I hv appnmnt wid him nxt week. But ms.blush lover, d thing is that this isn’t d case only wid me but infact wid almost evry1 i know around. who too hv consulted dermas. chemicals make skin dry n u can’t keep using chemicals all ur life

thats true…chemicals r bund t dry out the skin…but there must be something one can use to rctify it na…now everyone who goes to the doc wont have dry skin all their lives….arna skincare hota hi nahi

hmm..i think u r ryt.. actually, my derma too is weird. he just gives prescriptions n never tells bout d problem.. he comes 30 mins before his leaving time n attends 7-8 patients in it.. wt do i do

i luv the lakme perfect radiance wala…h maybelline uv wala also dint suit me..but i can understand ur addiction to the kryolan powder…its so light n nice…but a pain to carry around
oh gr8!! i actually went to buy the clearglow one…i was gona buy it online only but then Divs reviewed it and mentioned it may leave a white cast on the skin so i decided to try it out first..and unfortunately it left me lukin white as well…
warna id hav chosen the that only 
It does look a bit white Zee but like the BB cream sets in after a while. I use it all the time for FOTDs and it doesn’t look bad in photographs….its not a very good compact but not bad either.
and i’hv used it both dry and wet and it works well both ways.

Zee..this is nice..but a bit pricey..i’d rather by the TBS for 700/- in sale and stock 2-3. they last much longer

This is so fab for oily skin! I was gonna get the maybelline clear glow compact…now am confused
try both Naf….the clearglow wala leaves me with a whitecast…but it does suit alot of ppl…try each one on each cheek which one u like better

Yep..our skin is very similar and u shud def try this in summers..not sure if this wud b gud in winters tho..may dry us out..
am using revlon ka touch n glow compact for more than an year and am completely satisfied with it but lemme chk this out also n yes zee this time maybelline rocks with their products esp the color bloom lip balm..am simply in love with it..
Seems a gud enough product for combi skin not for me coz i have dry skin
