Lux was one of the first brands to launch a body wash in India. It was closely followed by Liril. Only, back then, it was called liquid soap. But that’s like about a decade and a half ago. Now, there are innumerable brands of body washes available and everyone is familiar with its usage.

A lot of us consider body washes a luxury product…not in terms of price but in terms of the spa experience it provides. We reserve it for weekends or for use after a tiring day to refresh and rejuvenate ourselves. But the fact is that body washes are considered better than soaps since they are mild yet moisturizing and do not disrupt the ph balance of the skin the way soaps do. Also, they lather well even in hard water and do not leave any residue. Since body washes are usually used with loofahs they also help to exfoliate away dead skin cells and polish the skin. Packaging:

I quite like the pearly white, slender & curvy, asymmetrical plastic bottle. It comes with a flip-top lid that shuts tight and the nozzle is the right size. The small size makes it easy to carry along while travelling.

Fragrance:

It has a light floral fragrance that’s really mild. Those who don’t like strong fragrances and those with a sensitive nose who don’t want a fragrance that lingers on the skin for long are going to love this. It smells really good in the shower but is hardly discernible afterwards.

My experience with Lux Peach & Cream Body Wash :-

The body wash is pearly white in color. The consistency is a mix between a watery gel and a lotion. When used with a loofah you get a creamy fragrant lather that’s a pleasure to use. I feel a lot of product is needed when using a loofah otherwise it becomes difficult to get it to foam well. It is quite moisturizing and skin stays hydrated. Since I have dry skin on my body, I feel the need to use a moisturizer after an hour or so.
