Hi Gals… You all must have heard about dry shampoos. Dry shampoos can be a quick fix when you don’t have time to shower but does dry shampoo really works? and can you gals suggest me few brands in India which make dry shampoos?Also, Does dry shampoo damage hair and do they work on oily hair ?

Rick dry shampoo is in powder form….u just need to put in ur head nd need not to wet ur hair nd shampoo it

Ric, from what I’ve heard dry shampoo is used by people with very oily scalp as a shampoo alternative.. Dunno how it works though

though i wash my oily hair every alternate day but someday if i cant wash 4 some reason..i just rub some baby power on my hair n greasiness is reduced 2 a considerable xtent, 4 scalp, i press tissue on it..hope dat helps
only used baby powder.. it works well.. my scalp gets oily fast after using flat iron because of the heat. just put n rub on scalp wait for a few minutes and comb out..I donno any brands though but seen in lots of Indian blogs u could check them out..

Dry shampoos are powders that you can pour on your scalp and comb through for a quick clean up as it absorbs the excess oil and deodorizes.
You can buy dry shampoo at Lush, its called Drought, I think. Other than that, you could also use corn flour, baking powder, or if you’re worried about the white colour, you could also use cocoa powder (also making your hair smell chocolate.

I haven’t used it extensively so I’m not an expert.
In India you get Toni & Guy Dry Shampoo, maybe Lush or Tresemme if you have supermarkets that have more imported brands.
I’m currently using Toni & Guy. I have dry hair but an oily scalp so although my hair is dry and alright, my scalp starts looking oily and greasy by the second day. You are supposed to spray dry shampoo at the roots which then soaks up the oiliness. I don’t think the one I’m using is the best. It has a mattifying effect on my roots and appears less oily.
I wouldn’t recommend using it all the time since it leaves product residue (which you find while washing hair). I generally use it once or twice a week… (generally coz I’m late to office and have no time for a hair wash)
Dry shampoo? I have heard of it but I don’t think it will work as good because applying a powder directly to hair sound werido

Dry shampoo is a good alternative to freshen your hair. It does not make it shampoo like clean but does make ur hair decent enough. Using powder will cause ur hair to look white but u dont get tht issue with the dry shampoo. Dont go gung ho while spraying it as it will leave residue visible on ur hair. You wud need to wash ur hair the next day. Toni n Guy is good one but if you dont like tht Fudge also has a dry shampoo and u can get it on 365gorgeous.in. It works well enough on an oily scalp. I used Toni and Guy dry shampoo that comes in aerosol form. I have a very oily scalp. Worked zilch for me. Made my hair fall flat. That is one 900 bucks wasted I will never get over
But there are wonderful reviews on dry shampoos and there are people who cannot live without one. For me…….beh!!
Lush has also come with powder form dry shampoo…..cornstarch based if I am not wrong. They do not give free samples
