As a matter of fact, we girls have a tendency to be obsessed with something for quite sometime n then forget it .. lol.. 
that’s what happens with me also, when I started with make up, i was soo obsessed with eye liners, then came lip glosses, them sometime ago, i was drooling for blushes.. and now, It’s the matte lipsticks that are harming my pocket… So, in search for a perfect matte lipstick, I came across so many matte lipsticks from different brands, I read so many reviews, searched on the internet.. just like u all, even i never considered lakme like something i should try, as i thought it to be a mommy’s only brand.. but when they started coming up with so many amazing products, I thought i should give it a try.. and tadaaaa..here i got my brilliant kiss.. :*

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Matte Lipstick Brilliant Kiss
- Shade: 203- Brilliant Kiss is a beautiful pinky plum shade. Though the shade is same as looks in the tube I was expecting it to be more of pink rather than plum which is a little too loud on the plumier side and was little disappointed by that as am not much into bold shades.

- Texture: The texture of this lipstick is really smooth and creamy, glides like a dream and feels really light on the lips. And gives a beautiful matte finish to the lips which I just love.
- Pigmentation: It is just beautifully pigmented. Not too pigmented, not even sheer. It gives a full coverage and will hide any pigmentation on the lips.
- Staying Power: The staying power is just mind blowing, I have had it on my lips for 7-8 hrs maximum with a lip liner underneath, with a meal and lot of snacking in between, it even resisted a few water splashes on my face. It did fade away a little bit, but it was intact for almost 5-6 hrs i can say. even without any primers or base, it would easily stay for 4-5 hours.
All in all I was really happy with my purchase.

What I like about Lakme Absolute Matte Lipstick Brilliant Kiss:
- The texture it’s just amazing, so smooth on application and feels really light.
- Doesn’t rip my lips off it’s moisture
- Beautiful pigmentation and good coverage.
- Staying power is quite impressive.
- Good packaging, the cap doesn’t come off when kept in bag.
- Travel friendly.
- Beautifully matte, doesn’t make my lips look as if they are starving for moisture.
- Good for the price.
- Beautiful shade, will suit almost every skin tone.
- Date of manufacture and shelf life is mentioned on the label.
- Easily available.
What I don’t like about Lakme Absolute Matte Lipstick Brilliant Kiss:
- I feel the need for exfoliation every time i wear this.
- I don’t find the shade wearable for day time or for work (personal preference).

Yeah I will but in other shades, I have seen most of the shades in this range have got shimmer in it which i didn’t like. what is the use of shimmer in a matte lipstick i say. I have tried peach carnation as well which i found more wearable than this.

Yeah ofcourse, it will be a best buy for those who are looking for a beautiful matte lipstick, who like plums.

true u said.. i bought it as i was expecting it to be more of pink than plum.. and i rarely wear this one.. anyway its more beautiful in real than it looks in the pics.. i guess its looking lil aunty ji kinda shade in the pic..
because of the flash I guess but I think if topped with a gloss it will come out fab?
yeah it tames down the boldness of the shade if its topped with a clear gloss. I have tried that n it looked gorgeous that way too..
yeah heena its not my kinda shade too but i’ve noticed it adds glamour to your look.. i put it on when i feel m dull n need to spice up my look.. i ‘ve seen priyanka chopra wearing such shades a lotta times n she looks too hot..

Hey even I have this shade already, was the first one I picked from Lakme, then I settled on 207 as it looked more wearable than this.
). And the result turns out well 
This is a bit bold but there is a trick. Lots of girls have mixed coloured lips like a lil darker on outline and a lil lighter near the topline(closing line of both lips), like mine. So I combine 207 and 203. Mainly apply 207 as base and then add 203 just near the top i.e. where the lips meet(dunno how to define this
yeah pia, even i find 207more wearable than this.. thats lil orangey brown kinda shade..
