The Body Shop Ginger Anti Dadruff Shampoo Review

I suffer from dandruff, on and off, for more than five years. I have tried everything available to control my dandruff. Last winter, my dandruff aggravated more…I’ve tried Head&Shoulders, Dove, Himalayas, Dabur Vatika and what not!! Thank God, I bought this shampoo.

I would say this is the best Dandruff Shampoo I’ve ever used.

My Experience with The Body Shop’s Anti-Dandruff Ginger Shampoo:

It is colorless gel based shampoo. Its consistency is neither runny nor thick.

Usually I get dandruff back on me the third day after I shampoo.. But with this shampoo, it extends for 4-5 days and the flakes appear less, sometimes no flakes at all. To be more specific with 4-5 washes, my severe dandruff condition has changed to mild dandruff. But with regular usage, I found my already dry hair is becoming drier though I used Rainforest Moisture conditioner after shampoo.

So I bought Rainforest Moisture Shampoo and when I used the mixture of both shampoos, my hair escaped from dryness.. As days passed by, I started using very less quantity of this Ginger shampoo along with the Rainforest Moisture Shampoo. Recently I have started to skip this Ginger Shampoo for every wash. I use it once a week or whenever I feel itchiness or flakes.

What I like about The Body Shop’s Anti-Dandruff Ginger Shampoo:-

Refreshing Ginger smell.
Reduces Dandruff very effectively.
Reduces itchiness.
Removes hair oil and dirt effectively and easily.
With regular usage, my scalp gets very less or no flakes.
Very little amount is sufficient; so the bottle lasts longer.
Easily available across the globe.
Not tested on animals.

What I do not like about The Body Shop’s Anti-Dandruff Ginger Shampoo:-

Expensive.
Dries the hair with regular usage when used alone. So need to use along with any other mild shampoo.
A conditioner is a must after this shampoo.
Contains sulphate, silicone and parabens.

Final Verdict:Body Shop Ginger Anti Dandruff Shampoo

I would recommend this to anyone who suffers from severe dandruff. However, I would not recommend to those with mild dandruff as it has a very major disadvantage of making the hair over-dry. But still if you want to try this, mix a few drops of this shampoo with any other mild shampoo and then use..

I cannot say this is a mild shampoo, so avoid using this daily. Never avoid conditioner after this shampoo; else your hair would look like paper strips.

I would repurchase this for sure (a backup). I continue to use very little and not very frequently. Also, I am thinking whether to go for Pantene Anti-Dandruff Shampoo which Erica has recently reviewed as my dandruff is controlled now.
