Hi All,

Today I’ll be reviewing another Hot Pot I picked from Coastal Scents. I guess this was my first pick of them all and the most versatile of them all! coastal scents hot pot in puce review+ coastal scents puce

My take on Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Puce:

  • Color: This shade is described as a highly pigmented eyeshadow featuring a deep pink salmon hue with a clean matte finish. When I saw this online, I thought it was quite similar to MAC Texture…it isn’t by the way Smile This is a lovely matte pink which is one of the prettiest lid colors around.. coastal scents hot pot in puce review+ hot pot

  • Pigmentation & Texture: The pigmentation is quite impressive and dense. A single dip in the pan  and the color shows up quite densely. Its quite soft as well and not the least bit chalky as you can see from the swatches.
  • Staying Power: I hav used this as an overall lid color and it works really well and stays on for about 5hrs without creasing or fading. When used with a paintpot like Nubile, this stays on my lids for about 8hrs which is the max I have worn this.

I absolutely love wearing this above the MAC Nubile paintpot. It makes the eyeshadow looks more pink and brightens up my eyes nicely. I have also used this as a blush and it makes for a really nice and natural color. I use this with MAC espresso or MAC Cranberry in my crease and love the resulting look!

And I’d mentioned baove that initially I thought this looked a bit like MAC Texture. So here’s a comparative swatch so as to give you an idea about how NOT similar these both are.

What I like about Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Puce:

  • A pretty over all lid color which would suit most girls.
  • Can be worn alone with a liner for a bright-eye effect
  • Matte finish  and not super bright. So this can be easily worn to work.
  • Commendable pigmentation
  • Staying power is really good.
  • Its matte but without being chalky
  • Doesn’t crease
  • Easy on the pockets

What I don’t like about Coastal Scents Hot Pot in Puce:

  • Tough to choose shades since these are only available through their site.

    i like this color.. seems like its a everyday wear.. it seems matte eyeshadows r quite less.. btw, i know nothing abt eye shadows.. but gt some knowledge through ur post and others.. Wink
