To all the esteemed readers of WiseShe,
On 9 July, Monday night – a cute little bundle of joy entered our lives 
She’s very pretty (touchwood) – just like Anamika and all of you would have liked her to be – and man ! she’s a trouble like anything !

I remember when I rushed to see her for the first time: pink elliptical (width wise 
) face, black silky hair, cute little black eyes, long fingers and a very tiny body. What it feels when you hold your baby for the first time – I’ve read this in fiction numerous times, but in reality – it gave me goosebumps. The most beautiful(touchwood) gift from almighty, and Anamika. Since then, everyday has a new story to tell. Her head and face reformatted(better word?) to normal in next couple of days, and she became even more lovely(touchwood). Lots and lots of comparisons since then – does she have Mamma’s eyes or Daddy’s nose or what not.

, she drinks(but not drive) every 2 hours, she also has fairly frequent excretions – which ofcourse she doesnt clean by herself, AND the most important – she has a single form of verbal expression – a really loud and long cry (can even force Kasab to admit his guilts I bet). While I completed my crash course on nappy changing, a few precious moments – like her little yawn, her smiles and worries while sleeping, her curious looks at the world around – have been priceless. I know it’s the beginning of a very big responsibility : parenthood, but I hold her into my arms once, and there – it feels all worth it!

Anamika had to undergo surgery and was bed ridden for 5 days – the primary reason why she’s not active on WiseShe or not replying to your emails at proper pace. But don’t worry, she’s recovering well, and will soon be able to share her wonderful experiences with you as well! I must thank the wonderful WiseShe team of moderators and authors – for your support. I cannot over emphasize the fact that you all are the true backbone of this website.

hope you are up and about now Anamika and you and the baby are doing fine. warm regards to Kapil and the entire family. keep posting pics of the kiddo. what did you name her?
