My experience with Abzorb Dusting Powder:
This product has been a staple in my home and I’ve always seen a bottle or two in our medicine cabinet for as long as I can remember. It was predominantly used by my dad (even till today) and my mom used to use it on my sister and me whenever we required it. Since I’ve grown up looking at this, I never paid much attention to how useful this is. But after I got married and moved to a new home, I realized that I’ve under-estimated a fabulous product and now I make sure there’s always a bottle of dusting powder lying around. Let’s discuss some of the uses to gain a better understanding of why this is such a necessity:

- Baby care:
Diaper rash is a painful problem not just for the baby but for the mother/caregiver as well. Although diaper rashes are preventable, it is usually unavoidable when the baby suffers from diarrhea. Most doctors recommend using an ointment to either treat or prevent rash. I too was prescribed the same when my baby developed a rash due to diarrhea. It worked okay but was so difficult to apply or a squirming and screaming baby. My sister-in-law recommended that I use dusting powder and that was the first time Irealized that this can be used on babies as well. Sure enough, the rash healed much faster with the powder than with the cream. It reduced itching, redness and irritation and was far more easier to apply.
It can also be used on rashes that develop in the folds of the knees and elbows of toddlers.
It is best to dust some powder onto your palm and then gently apply on baby, taking care to ensure that it does not enter the baby’s eyes or nostrils, rather than applying directly from the bottle. This rule of application applies to regular baby powder as well.
- Foot care:
As indicated, this can used to soothe Tineapedis and other foot infections. If you wear sneakers, or closed-shoes, you may suffer from sweaty and smelly feet. Dusting this powder before you put on your shoes helps to absorb sweat, prevent infections and keep bad odors away. It also helps to reduce itchiness. So this ought to be a staple in your gym bag and is especially useful if you walk barefoot in public places. Plodding through rainwater puddles can increase your risk of foot infections. So ensure that you wash your feet once you get home, dry them and apply this powder to prevent infection.

- Groin care:
Dhobie itch or TineaCruris is an embarrassing problem and is especially common among men and those who are overweight. Tight under garments, excessive sweating in the groin area and friction due to clothes or the rubbing of thighs may contribute to severe itching. Apply this powder in the folds of the skin, around the groin and wherever excess perspiration occurs. It can also aidin the treatment of vaginal yeast infection, thrush etc. This powder is for external use only so make sure it does not enter your body.
- Rashes:
Since this powder has antifungal and antibacterial properties, it can be used on a wide variety of rashes including prickly heat. It provides almost immediate relief from itching. I have dry skin on my legs that tend to get quite itchy sometimes. I always felt that powders would only make the condition worse and would further dry-out my skin and exacerbate the itching. To my surprise, applying this powder soothed my skin and relieved the itching sensation instantly which I could not achieve after using a moisturizer alone.

Final thoughts on Abzorb Dusting Powder:
This product is a must-have in everyone’s home and deserves a place in your medicine cabinet, travel kit, gym bag, baby bag and so on. It can be used anywhere on the body and suits all age groups and all skin types. It is reasonably priced, one bottle lasts long, has a pleasant, soothing fragrance and it is easily available in most medical stores. There’s nothing that I dislike about it
