I love Himalaya as a skin treatment brand. Indeed, I have used their shampoos, face wash (I love the Neem one) and scrubs. So I will confess I had high expectations from this product. However, high expectations do not always deliver, does it? I learned that from this product, slightly in the hard way.
The Himalaya Almond-Cucumber face pack, which is supposed to peel off my blemishes and firming up my skin do the job halfway. On one hand, it does tone up my skin slightly but on the other hand… well, read on for the review.
Himalaya Claims: “Almond & Cucumber Peel-off Mask unclogs pores and peels away blemishes to reveal healthy, glowing skin. Almond nourishes, soothes and softens your skin. Cucumber tones your facial skin and provides a cooling effect. Pineapple removes impurities and dead skin cells and firms up the skin. Indian Gooseberry has cleansing and antioxidant properties.” It contains Cucumber, Indian Gooseberry and Almond.

First things first, let’s look at the bright points with this pack. The first thing which attracts me is the flip-top cap. Everyouth anyone? I remember their peel off orange face masks when I look at this product. And yes, the application method is the same for both – apply an even layer all over moistened face, let it dry out totally before peeling. The last time I put this mask on, and fell asleep for half an hour. Woke up, and gently peeled off the mask. The mask has a light scent so people with sensitive noses can totally use it. I like the fact that it dries up within 20 minutes or so and then is easy to peel off. It is a greenish yellow colored runny fluid that can be spread and applied easily. However, I would suggest you use your fingers rather than the brush, as this particular thing totally messed up my face mask brush. Ick.
After application and drying and peeling, do wash off your face to ensure all your dirty icky extra bits are removed.
I don’t know, my biggest problem with this mask seems to be the fact that it removes my dead skin and actually tightens up my pores, but on the other hand, it does NOTHING for my blemishes. I have used this pack halfway through the tub and have come to this conclusion. NOTHING is the word. My mother claims that she thinks my skin looks more toned, which I am agreeing with, but no blemish removal. It also dries my skin out (though it has not broken me out, which is a blessing) and I have to moisturize afterwards.
I am okay with that I guess. However, I am not okay with this product messing up my brush.
So, a quick summation of the pros and cons?
What I like about Himalaya Almond and Cucumber Peel Off Mask :
- Flip top cap and nice travel-friendly tube
- Cleans up my face
- Tightens pores
- Very decently priced
- Does not break me out
- Easy to apply
What I don’t like about Himalaya Almond and Cucumber Peel Off Mask :
- Messes up my face pack brush
- Dries my skin out
- Removal is a pain if you have thin skin
- Does nothing for my blemishes

Will I Repurchase?
The price of this product is very reasonable, so I basically have no complaints. However, I would stick to other packs, as this one is just too much work for lazy me, for example my favorite is my Vedic Line Neem and Brahmi pack and Blossom Kochhar Glossy Pack.

I hate any sort of peel off mask..I have never had good experience with them.I remenmber the orange peel off mask ,it stuck to my face and even the hair on my forehead.I took me 2 days to remove it completely ..

Nice review.. Poorna!!! I dont think so any peel off mask can help in blemish removal.. I will stick to the creams suggested by doc’s they work better on me!
So now i know what not to buy from HIMALAYA.. I swear by the neem face wash thou.. have finished several packs!

i have never liked peel offs…for my sis’s wedding the salon lady applied this really nice smelling choc mask. peeling it off after its dry put me off facials/masks for life!!! i like the exfoliation packs better than these!!

Eeh i used this and my god it pained like hell while peeling it off. It actually was like waxing my facial skin. Could see my facial hair on the peel. And that actualy gave a visible glow, since no hair. !!
Exactly the same thing happens to me. After using it a couple of times, I decided to not to use it any time further
lol. not that bad in my case, but I understand.

sad it din work for you !! but i swear by this pack actually.. i know for sure that it removed the blemishes left behind by a bout of severe pimples on my skin. I have been using this pack for the last 2+ yrs and i am onto my 4th tube now .. Tho i shud agree everyouth was YUCK! to say the least .. !!!!

I have used Himalaya Peel Off Mask for about 4 peels, my face feels firmer.. tight and younger.
I am 3 months pregnant and liked this one as it has delicate smell.
I also like the fact that Himalaya peel off mask is Herbal..
