Makeup Academy launched a limited eyeshadow palette to celebrate the Olympics. Like their all the other eyeshadow palettes, this also retails for £4 but instead of 12 shades in round pans, this has 10 shades in square pans.

My Take on MUA Going for Gold Palette

As it is based on the Olympics, the theme seems to be medals – Gold, Silvers (greys) and Bronzes. All the eyeshadows have some level of shimmer-some more than other.

Description of the shades-

Top Row-

Light golden color, matte grey, beautiful bronze color, bright shimmery silver(I use it as a highlighter), bold golden color-very different and an unusual shade which was missing from my collection.

Swatches Of MUA Going For Gold Palette :-

Bottom Row-

Another silver which is very light and one of the least pigmented shades, pale golden color that can be used to highlight the inner corner, this shade looks almost the same as shade 5, both in the pan and swatches, this is another bronzey shade that is slightly darker than shade 3, last one is again a silver with lots of shimmer but my favourite among all the other grey/silver in this palette.

Swatches Of MUA Going For Gold Palette :-

As ever with MUA eyeshadows, the formulation is creamy soft and super highly pigmented. Just what I have come to expect from their high standard of product.

I have to use a primer as otherwise these don’t last long on me but with a primer,it lasts easily for 8 hours or so.

Again its only available online for those who live in India. I got this when MUA had 25% off on all their products and were offering free shipping.
