It feels very special and very excited to own something very precious. Platinum is one rare metal that makes you feel royal with just the thought of owning the metal, wearing the metal on your body is apart. The metal is so unique, rare, pure, delicate yet tough.
I had never experienced this kind of special feel even when I bought my first diamond jewelry. But my latest purchase of platinum ring is making me feel on top of the world. Diamonds show their real virtue when set in platinum metal. This was the first time I wanted more diamonds in my platinum ring. Diamonds set in 18k/22k gold had not driven me so crazy. (But a constraint called ‘budget’ did not let me have more diamonds. L.)
‘When you choose platinum, you endorse the fact that only what’s truly rare can make you feel truly special.’ ………….This is so very right.
My jewelry shopping is usually at the show room of Bhima Jewellers (a chain that is very famous here in South India). This special piece of jewelry too was purchased at Bhima Jewellers. The staff at the showroom gave me a royal treatment as though I am buying something worth crores of rupees. J. Such is the respect for platinum jewelry customers.
Details about the jewelry:
I have been given a certificate of ownership of this platinum diamond ring with the description of the jewelry.
The main information provided is about the purity and weight of the platinum metal and the diamond weight –
Platinum Purity & Weight: PT950, PT = 4.23, DIA WT = 0.13
Along with the jewelry, a platinum buyer’s guide is also provided which informs some important and interesting facts about the metal. (I have included the clicks of some details from the buyer’s guide.)
The staff at the showroom mentioned that rate of the platinum per gram, including making charges (when used in the jewelry) is around Rs.4600. But, platinum jewelries are sold according to the price tag that is charged for the jewelry piece. The price tag of each jewelry piece comes along with it from the PGI authorized manufacturer.
I had to pay Rs.29290 for this particular ring. There was no break down of the price in the bill. The ring had the tag Rs.29000. The description available in the bill apart from the piece price tag was the 1% VAT that added another amount of Rs.290.
