Colored eye pencils have been one of those favorites of mine which refuses to be banished. And Diana of London is a good brand, which I have heard of a lot, but not used. So when I first checked out this eyeliner, I was pretty much taken aback by the intense blue color.
And okay, very happy too.
Diana of London is part of the MaxCare group and the company has come up with a good range of products which are available online at several portals. This pencil, is part of their Long Wear range.
About Diana of London Longwear Eyeliner :
Soft & Smooth Waterproof Eyeliner pencil which gives a finishing touch to your eye make-up all day long.
The liner contains UV Filters and Vitamin E so it is supposed to nourish while it colors. The packaging is really simple, and similar to the Colorbar I-Glide pencils. They are also not made of wood (PLUS POINT) so I am happy with the fuss-free pack. The only thing I would have loved is a way to tell this one apart from some others, because its not too easy to find this one among my numerous silver-bodies beauties.
My experience with Diana of London Longwear Eyeliner in Blue:
Texture and Color: The texture of this pencil is quite good it glides on moderately easily, and yes, tugs slightly, but nothing you cannot handle, and it delivers intense color which does not smudge much. I like the fact that this pencil can actually last up to 5-6 hours on my waterline (VERY TOUGH FEAT) without smudging and it ACTUALLY shows up on my waterline. The color is very intense.
Here, have a look at the hand swatch.
The color is indeed this dark, and it shows up. My favorite way is to wear this on my waterline on days I am feeling too lazy to do much, but I need to wear something funky and apply some lipstick and mascara, and that’s it.
My favorite lippy with this is a nude peachy pink one, and I love the blue-pink effect.
I JUST can’t get over the intensity of this color. This is me just after application of the color.
Removal is with a makeup remover, and it comes off fairly easy. However, this product is not much travel-friendly, as when I carried it, the cap came off thrice and now I have blue mark all over my favorite lippy case.
Such is life.
This one is 1 hour after application.
Do you see the intensity of the color?
What I like about Diana of London Longwear Eyeliner in Blue:
- Intense color
- Glides on easily
- Stays on my waterline for a good period of time
- Supposed to contain UV filters and Vitamin E
What I don’t like about Diana of London Longwear Eyeliner in Blue:
- Boring packaging
- Needs to be sharpened
- Not travel-friendly
Will I Repurchase? Well, I have to finish this one and my Max Factor one before I can touch a new cobalt blue eye pencil. Also, I just ordered a new smoky pencil from Bourjois. Okay, maybe my mother will kill me the next time she sees me, so if I am alive, why not?
