Maybelline Baby Lips Color Lip Balm in Cherry Kiss
Maybelline has really made some right decisions when they decided to introduce their Baby Lips Color Lip Balms for sale. Considered to be one of the most anticipated products to be launched by the brand, the brand has come up with a few really great products which are doing well in the market. In that vein, their new range of Baby lip balms has hit the market, and there are a number of nearly transparent colors which you can pick from. The lip balms are guaranteed to make your lips feel softer and plumper, and they are supposed to stay on your lips for up to a period of 6 hours.

This shade is called Cherry Kiss and the lip balm smells slightly of artificial berries, but not cherries in general, or is it just me? The content list shows that the product might have traces of blueberries in it, so well, that can explain, I guess? However, let me give you a list of the stuff I absolutely adore about this lip balm.

Just ignore the fact that this came from the Coral Kiss package. I was too excited to keep myself off the lip balms and just tore into them. Nice to know they have SPF, and I love the fact that they actually advise you to reapply in case of sun exposure or in extreme weather conditions.
First, the color. I have a pet peeve against lip balms which have micro-glitters in them. Personally, I consider lip balms to be soothing for you, i.e., they are supposed to be feeding your lips some vital nutrients, and the presence of the glitters mean they settle down on your lips after a while and you end up wincing at your face while removing makeup and discovering a lot of it got stuck on the crease of your lips. This color is just plain tint and nothing more. It reminds me of Nyx tinted lip spas, one of my all-time favorite products.

Second, the feel. I love this one. Its not too waxy or creamy, just the right balance, and it makes my lips look dewy soft without going over the top. I am going to tell you the truth – the stuff does not last you six hours, but then, I don’t mind, because I reapply lip balms every alternative hours, and this stick to my lips for at least 3-4 hours, which is very good staying power. The color does not look bad on my lips and it gives it a slight cherry glow.
Maybelline Baby Lips Cherry Kiss Swatches:-
Here is the handy hand swatch where you can see for yourself the sheer red shade which this has. That is one of the things I like about the color – it does not go overboard with glitters and colors, just keeps the entire thing toned down and real. However, the one crib I have with the product is the packaging. I personally feel that apart from the large “BABY LIP” writing in white, the rest of the pack looks exactly like the 100/- lip balms from Maybelline. Otherwise these lippies are easy to carry and gets my thumbs up for their travel-friendliness and staying power, and they really keep my lips very hydrated.

Overall, I have bought two of these lip balms and I am looking at one more. Stop me, someone.

Nivea chapstick in cherry flavor has been my favorite from long time..but the only thing it lacks is the SPF.
I guess its time to switch to this one

go for it. I personally love the Nivea Fruity Shine Pomegranate, but I feel the Nivea one has tiny microglitters which is a big no-no for me. So this one I love because its just a wash of sheer red color on my lips.

even i had the same feeling ramya
the difference is the staying power. On my lips Nivea barely lasts me an hour max. this one stays on my lips easily for more than 2-3 hours.

i tried nivea fruity shine..it is very shiny and after some time it dries my lips and make them chapped..and does nt feel good. will this be better than that?? i hate dried lips…
yes… this one does not dry out my lips at all. that is a major plus point.

Janani, I dont know… I really like them mostly because they do not have micro glitters (I HATE THEM) and they have a really nice feel to them and are hydrating.

they have provided tacky packaging for the indian market.there is vast difference between the packaging and shades available here and in usa.
i hate Maybelline for that..i don know why is this disparity when there is so much love for the brand.
Can u believe they don’t release the taupe wala eye tattoo in India?? It’s the Color that wud suit any Indian ski one n yet it’s d one they left out!
i know that is one of my biggest peeves about the fact they did not release Taupe. but, on the other hand, they did release that orange wala I was eyeing.

Lipbalmmmm! Me want! I so agree bout the packaging Poori. The contrast color font that they released abroad is sooo eye-catching. But this one is just plain blah!
But am glad maybelline released cuter packaging in India for the BB cream and the Jewels lippie range. The Jewel lippie abroad has boring plain packaging
