Hi Girls! ‘
Seeing all the lovely, creative looks for the contest here really got me inspired..To be honest I usually stick to neutrals since I can’t wear brighter shades to work but then looking at all the gorgeous looks by Nav, Rits, Paddy and all just made me feel like giving it a whirl. This Diwali most of my outfits are in the pink/purple combi or a silver and black…Don’t ask me why…After not being allowed to wear dark shades to festivals in the 1st year of marriage (as per my in laws) I finally felt like I was breaking free!!!
So today I’ve done a really simple silver smokey eye which I love wearing to parties (since I usually wear black thanks to my voluptuous figure). this goes really well with Indian outfits..I plan to wear this with a black anarkali with silver embi work done on it….What say?
Products used for Silver Smokey Eye Makeup:-
- Sleek au Naturel Palette (Black shade & 2nd shade from the top to highlight)
- Wet n Wild brow kit
- Maybelline Eye Tattoo in Audacious asphalt
- NYX Jumbo Pencil in Cottage Cheese
- Maybelline Colossal Mascara
- Lakme eyeconic Liner
How did I do it the smoky eye makeup:-
Very very simple..I began with the Nyx Jumbo pencil over my lid for a base and then proceeded to use the same on the lower lashline in the inner half. I then Took the black eyeshadow from the Sleek Palette and used it in the outer half of my lid as well as the crease and blended it out..I then used the Maybelline eye tattoo and dabbed it in the centre of the lid as well as the inner half.. I innermost corner as well as the tear duct was highlighted with NYX Cottage cheese. I then highlighted my lids with the highlighter from the sleek Palette and did my brows with the Wet n Wild brow kit which is my fav. I then used the Lakme Eyeconic liner very thinly in the inner half of my lid and the thickened it in the outer half and winged it. I also used this liner in outer half of the lower lashline and joined the two. I also tightlined my eyes for a more intense effect and finished off with 2 coats of mascara.
I went in for a smokey eye because I feel like I can create the look with minimal products. And since I’ll be travelling to Nagpur for Diwali with the in-laws, I don’t want to have to carry too much. Do you like smokey eyes too??
Hope you all like this look which I created as part of the Nyx & Kryolan Makeup contest here on WiseShe!
