Okay, I have to say this out loud, don’t I? I love NYX. Now that its out of my chest, lets move on to the different aspects of the legendary Jumbo Eye Pencils, which are sort of like staple to me. I mean, come on, they are cheap, easy to apply, and blends like a dream. For all of you who love this as eye base, base color, blending color, et al, please raise your hands and smile, because I am one of you. I love love love Nyx.
There. Said it.
Now, off to this one. I got this one with a number of other orders from Flipkart and I wanted three, so I ordered for Milk, this one, and Strawberry Milk. I generally use the Jumbo ones as eyeshadows, and till date, they have worked out fantastically for me.
- Price – 425/- (found at Flipkart for 340/- which I consider decent pricing).
- Quantity: 5 gm.
The packaging is flimsy… The cover of the pencil cracks at the hint of a fall even, and I dislike carrying these around. They have to be sharpened and contain parabens (very few makeup doesn’t, actually). Another peeve of mine is the fact that they can crease on oily lids.
Now that I have got the cons out, let us look at the pros. First off the bat, these eye pencils are super-creamy. By super-creamy, I do mean super-creamy. They are thick, rich, they glide on like a dream. I have often put a single line of the color over my eyeliner and gone off for the day. They do not last very long, about 3-4 hours on my waterline, and they do smudge there. However, I am not much into using them on my waterline, so I don’t mind.
Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Dark Brown Swatches:-
The color blends like a dream. I have photos to prove it. The total dark brown color consists of teeny tiny shimmers which are visible more when you blend it in. I often use this as a crease color, and blending it with a matte shade makes the color really stand out. The color, with all its shimmers also washes off easily.
Pros:Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Dark Brown
- Glides on like a dream
- Blends easily
- Color payoff and pigmentation is superb
- Washes off easily
Cons:Nyx Jumbo Eye Pencil in Dark Brown
- Creases a bit
- Staying power is strictly average
- Has to be sharpened
You guys should try at least one of these colors just because of the insane pigmentation and blending capability.
