Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 3/4 cup chocolate chips (or chopped milk chocolate)
- (You can also add 1/2 cup of chopped nuts if desired, such as walnuts or almonds)
Method :Chocolate Chip Cookies:-
1. Preheat oven to 175°C and line a baking tray with some baking paper.
2. Sift the flour, salt and baking soda together in a bowl.
3. In a larger bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until creamy. Then add the egg, vanilla essence and almond extract. Mix well.
4. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Mix to combine. Then fold in the chocolate chips.
5. Roll the dough into balls and place on the tray. Flatten them slightly with your palm.
6. Bake the cookies for 8 minutes until they are a light golden brown.
This dough makes 24 medium sized cookies and that’s too much for just my husband and I! So I made cookies with just half the dough. I took the remaining dough, wrapped it in cling wrap, put it in a Ziploc bag and then kept it in the freezer. You can freeze cookie dough like this for months! When I want to make them, I’ll just keep the frozen dough overnight in the fridge (to thaw it) and then bake. Simple, isn’t it?
These cookies were a big hit with my husband – he loved their buttery taste, chewy texture and of course, the chocolate chips! I hope you try these out, because they are delicious and frankly, very easy to make!

Nice one Ki. Altho i suspect 175 degrees will suffice to bake cookies. Ur oven must be really powerful. The ones we get here need 185 to 200.
Really? That is probably way to high for these. 350-375 Fahrenheit usually works for cookies i.e., 175 to 190 degrees Celsius. For roasting chicken and all, I go as high as 200-215.
Looks yummy I love cookies
