Shiro Cosmetics is an online makeup company known for its geeky themed eyeshadows and lippies. My favourite products from their shop is their lip products aka intertubes. They’re a combination of a lip balm and a lipstick, being both moisturing and quite pigmented.
They offer samples, so I ordered a few shades and I want to review the most unusual colour for you – a purple called Sad Keanu, which is blackberry flavoured. Here’s what the sample looks like:
It cost me just $1.80 for a decent amount of lip product – I’ve used this on and off for a few months and there’s still plenty left.
Here’s a list of its ingredients:
Shea butter, jojoba oil, candelilla wax, vitamin E, red #27, blue #1, castor oil, mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, blackberry flavour.
And here are swatches of the Sad keanu shade, first with flash and second without:

Isn’t the colour unique? It might look a little scary at first glance, but one swipe of it is pretty sheer and interesting without being too odd or too dark.
Here’s what I like about the Shiro Cosmetics intertube in Sad Keanu:-
- It is moisturizing
- It lasts for 5-6 hours
- It doesn’t dry my lips out, not does it sink into the lines on my lips
- The color is intimidating at first, but if applied sheerly it is quite flattering
- The sample is generously sized (1.5g)
- The blackberry scent is delicious but not overwhelming
Here’s what I don’t like about the Shiro Cosmetics intertube in Sad Keanu:-
- It stains – I have to be careful not to get this lippie on my clothes or it leaves a stain.
So, as you can see I really love this intertube and its unique colour. I also really appreciate that Shiro Cosmetics offers samples – it is a great way to try out fun and different colours, without paying for a full size. They also offer a mini size in a tin (4g) for $5 and a full size (5.5g) for $6.50. I’m definitely getting a full size of Sad Keanu and I want to try other colours of intertubes as well.

I will rather use it on my eyes than my lips dear!
need to see lip swatches to try new shades! earlier i used to get scared by orange lipsticks but now I am obsessed with them!

Oh yes, I have a purple lippie from Amway that I had picked sometime ago! Its best for people with cooler tones. Doesnt suit most we Indians with warmed tones.

The color looks way tooooo vibrant to be called sad though 
Maybe they shudve named this overjoyed keanu 
such a lovely purple color, if I had this I would have used it as a shadow
