Since the weather has gotten colder and snowier in France, my skin has started craving moisture. So I switched my body wash to The Body Shop Shea Butter Shower Cream.
I paid €5,50 for this 250ml bottle and I’ve used it for about ten-twelve days now.
The Body Shop Shea Butter Shower Cream ingredients:
Aqua (Water) (Solvent/Diluent), Helianthus annuus (Sunflower Seed Oil) (Emollient), Sodium Laureth Sulfate (Surfactant), PEG-5 Cocamide (Surfactant), Coco-Glucoside (Surfactant), Cocamidopropyl Betaine (Surfactant), Parfum (Fragrance), Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer (Stabiliser/Viscosity Modifier), Butyrospermum parkii (Shea Butter) (Emollient), Sesamum indicum (Sesame Oil) (Emollient), Phenoxyethanol (Preservative), Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), Sodium Hydroxide (pH Adjuster), Disodium EDTA (Chelating Agent), Linalool (Fragrance Ingredient), Tocopherol (Antioxidant), Coumarin (Fragrance Ingredient), Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone (Fragrance Ingredient), Limonene (Fragrance Ingredient), Butylphenyl Methylpropional (Fragrance Ingredient), Citronellol (Fragrance Ingredient), Citral (Fragrance Ingredient), Geraniol (Fragrance Ingredient), Eugenol (Fragrance Ingredient), Caramel (Colour), CI 15985 (Colour).
And here’s a swatch of the shower cream:
As you can see, it looks almost like a body lotion! And it feels just like that too – soft, creamy and gentle on the skin. I use a coin sized dollop for my entire body with either a loofah or just my hands and both ways it lathers well. My skin feels clean afterwards, without being too dry and most importantly, without that slippery, slimy feel that some body washes leave behind. I’ve given a summary of my experience with this shower cream below.
Here’s what I like about the TBS Shea Butter Shower Cream:-
1.Not drying on the skin
2.Didn’t break me out
3.A small quantity goes a long way
4.Not too expensive
6.Doesn’t leave behind a residue after being washed off
Here’s what I dislike about the TBS Shea Butter Shower Cream:-
I can’t stand the smell! It’s very masculine somehow and I prefer either foody and fruity scents or something delicate yet refreshing. This one is just too strong for me.
So overall, the TBS Shea Butter Shower Cream is an excellent body wash, but the scent makes it a dud for me. If you’re not as averse to strong scents as I am and you’re looking for a moisturising body wash, I highly recommend this one!
Have you tried TBS Shea Butter Shower cream ?What is your favourite moisturising body wash? I’d love your recommendations!
