This weekend, my husband and I hosted a dinner for his colleague and his girlfriend. We spent the whole day cooking and cleaning and when the time came to get dressed, I was absolutely exhausted. So I just grabbed some random clothes from my closet plus some jewellery and threw them on. Thankfully, it worked and even my husband complimented me on how pretty I looked!
Outfit breakdown:
Top: Kookai, Lyon
Pants – Promod, Lyon
Shoes – Eram, Lyon
Jewellery – Etsy and Dilli Chaat
This outfit was comfortable to the extent that I didn’t have to worry about what I was wearing and I could focus on serving my guests. They were eating Indian food for the first time and it was so exciting to see them trying rotis, jeera aloo, raita, chicken curry and even pickle! I also baked a cake with fudgy frosting and it came out absolutely delicious. I was very proud at the end of the day – I hosted my first dinner without any problems and I looked pretty good while doing it!

some time all we end up is cooking and our shabby self.its not easy to organise a perfect dinner.needs good planning.
im actually not too fond of cooking.. once when we had some relatives over i thot im gonna have a nervous breakdown.. cooking for 8 ppl!!!
at one point of time i was..but not any more..i just get things done from my helper and then organise things..
after that day i decided no more dinner parties at home!my maid threw a fit next morning when she saw the vessels..shes like didi itne saareee????
woh to hai he ..u know one of my friend started bringing paper plates just to sort out the issue ..her hubby was too fond of throwing parties.
actually I have seen really pretty disposable plates in Ikea abroad.. they look like pretty melamine plates but are actually made of thermocol..they would be a lifesaver.. since my home is very close to mall that has very good restaurants.. we usually plan dinners there then hehe…n end with coffee at starbucks
aah bliss…i have to plan a trip to starbucks soon
i go often as its close by.. but i love it…. aah im hungry now
I would have blogged from there only
u kno i have so many ppl sitting there all day with their laptops
wohi na..when i come to Mumbai we will do the same
