Beauty is of two essential types namely the inner beauty i.e. how good one can be by heart and the outer beauty that stands for the outer looks. But to be a complete beautiful woman, it is good to adapt for both the beauty types. Here is my list of top Indian beautiful women till date.
Madhubala, born Mumtaz Jahan Dehlavi, was one of the beautiful actress who appeared in film classics Mahal, Mr. & Mrs. ’55, Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi and Mughal-e-Azam. She was active between 1949 and 1960, after which illness shortened her career. As Madhubala became one of the most sought-after actresses in India, she attracted interest from Hollywood. She appeared in the American magazine Theatre Arts where, in its August 1952 issue, she was featured in an article with a full page photograph under the title: “The Biggest Star in the World – and she’s not in Beverly Hills”
The 1970s proved to be an era which established Mumtaz as one of the most successful actresses of Hindi Cinema. Mumtaz and Sharmila Tagore were the highest paid actresses in Hindi Cinema in the period 1970-1976. Mumtaz appeared in a number of commercially and critically successful movies She won the Filmfare Best Actress Award for Khilona in 1970. She was voted the second most popular beauty in the poll conducted as part of the celebrations of 100 years of Indian cinema, in association with the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA), in 2012.

She was the most unconventional actress of her time. She was the second runner up in the Miss India Contest and went on to win the Miss Asia Pacific in 1970. Upon making her debut in Bollywood, Aman was credited with making a lasting impact on the image of its leading actresses by bringing the western heroine look to Hindi cinema, and throughout her career has been considered a sex symbol. She lived her life without regrets and was always comfortable with who she was. It was her confidence combined with her super sleek looks that made her so sexy.
Rekha is Bollywood’s crown and pride began her acting career at the young age of 13. Her first film ‘Sawan Bhadon’ was released in 1970. The transformation of a dark, plump and not so beautiful duckling to a golden mermaid drastically boosted her image in the tinsel world. She has an aura of glamour and mystery. The sexy looking damsel with heavy eye make-up and pouting lips made her mark in the early eighties with her superb performance in ‘Khubsoorat’. Crowned as the ‘Evergreen Timeless Beauty’, the dashing Rekha holds an empowering persona with versatility, humbleness, grace and faith. Even at the gracious 50, Rekha’s mystical beauty continues to enthrall the hearts of millions.

She was the first Indian to win the Miss Universe 1994 . The charming, gorgeous Sush with a fascinating smile has beautiful eyes and a tall, perfect figure. Though very talented, till now she didn’t get an opportunity to prove herself as a successful actress. This brilliant, down to earth personality has much more than a beautiful face. Sushmita enjoys writing prose and poetry and likes instrumental music. She is very fond of children and has adopted a baby girl whom she has named Renee. She won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actress award in the year 2000. Sushmita was positioned at number 6 in the 2004 Filmfare top ten actress list.

These roles have earned her the tag of a “female hero” and established her as a leading contemporary actress of Hindi cinema. She initially drew criticism for her fluctuating weight and poor dress sense, but was later credited in the media for retaining her individuality and breaking stereotypes of a Hindi film heroine. Vidya is a social activist and supports the empowerment of women. Her face radiates goodness. As Amitabh Bachchan said of her in Parineeta, she is like a breath of fresh air.
