I picked this up in January this year in a bid to combat the winter dryness..Winters have never been favourable to my skin and including pregnancy hormones in the mix is definitely NOT beneficial either. As a result, I had paper dry skin which dry patches near the eyes, nose and mouth and weirdly enough even on my forehead (for the 1st time ever). Yea, I looked hideous and Ta-ta-daaaa…L’oreal jumped in to rescue me
About L’Oreal Hydrafresh Deep Boosting Essence
- Price: INR599 for 50ml
This is the 2nd product i’m reviewing from the Hydrafresh Range (I’ve reviewed the Hydrafresh Icy Gel here) although technically, I bought and used this waay before that. I love trying new products and this one really peaked my curiosity.
Packaging: This comes in a really nice looking plastic pump bottle. The metallic pump part doesn’t peel either which is good bcoz I hate it when that happens..it make sme lose interest in the product somehow..Does that happen to you too? It doesn’t have a lid, but it has a good lock system so there’s no chance of ending up with a messy purse.
Like the Anti-Shine moisturizer, this too feels like a splash f cool water when applied. The Vit E beads melt into the skin on contact, and this actually does make the skin smoother after prolonged usage.
But if you expect this to have a brightening effect then this is not the case. It makes the skin smoother, softer and look really healthy and hydrated but not fairer or anything. Any glow is the by-product of the hydration working on your skin.
Honestly, I like this alot. Winters always make my skin dry and pregnancy just made my skin worse. At the time, this moisturizer worked wonders for my skin. My dry patches vanished after about 4weeks of use.
The moisturizer has a fresh Aqua scent and 2 pumps are sufficient to cover my full face. The hydrating effect lasts for about 3 to 4hrs. I can see this working for all skin types except maybe super dry skin which may need a moisturizer with a more emollient quality. This would work perfectly for oilies also and for anyone who wants a refreshing treat for their skin.
Have you tried the L’Oreal Hydrafresh Deep Boosting Essence? – 5/5
