About Dior Capture Totale Radiance Restoring Serum Foundation :
Capture the luminous, radiant look of youth this Spring with new Capture Totale Foundation. A unique blend of Capture Totale anti-aging ingredients (Alpha Longoza(tm) and Centuline(tm)), optical correctors and HD Liquid crystal Pigments ™, this revolutionary serum foundation gives skin radiant “high definition” perfection in every dimension. Thanks to a broader band of multi-toned pigments- more subtle, real and natural than the 4 (red/yellow/white/black) usually used in foundation.Treats all the signs of aging. Boosts collagen, nourishes, replenishes, re-plumps. Ideal for mature skin, dry skin or dull, “flat” skin lacking radiance. And yes, it also contains an SPF of 15, which is great
My Experience with Dior Capture Totale Radiance Restoring Serum Foundation :
Well, it contains a blend of anti-aging ingredients which include Alpha-Longoza and Centuline, optical correctors, and HD liquid crystal pigments. I don’t need anti aging, but I happen to love the effect it gives my skin- dewy and velvety, not oily with a flawless coverage.
Makes my skin look perfect, almost flawless in photos and in person and does not make my skin oily too. I have a super sensitive skin and so am a bit choosy about the products I pick up for myself. Being serum based, it imparts an amazing glow to my skin- which I love! And yes, it did not oxidize on my skin too
Though, it it’s a serum based foundation, there is no reason to think that the consistency is watery and it is sheer coverage- in fact it is just the opposite! Coverage is awesome without being unnatural and cakey and has medium to almost full coverage (buildable). I have some mild acne marks and they are well taken care with this alone- there is no need of an additional concealer.
I have used other foundations but honestly none come even close to this. It gives good coverage (buildable), without looking heavy and made up and the result- you look flawless and perfect in person and in photos! What’s more, in this humid Indian climate, it is difficult to wear a heavy foundation.
It is best to use a stippling brush with this foundation, as a little goes a long way! You can try out with your fingers and I have noticed that it is almost equally good, though you won’t get that airbrushed finish.
In the summers it is best to set it with a base primer and powder and it will last you the entire day- I mean 10 hours+ and in the winters, I do not need to set it with powder, I love that dewy/satiny/velvety look it imparts- almost like your ‘my skin but much better’ look It stays put and does not settle into fine lines near the eyes! It literally melts into your skin!
The bottle is equipped with a pump dispenser and one pump is more than enough for your face and neck- so a little goes a long way. It is great for day wear as it has SPF 15- so, yes, flash photography might not be the best choice with this on! And this probably the only con I can think of!
Here’s me wearing the foundation and soaking up the Greek sunshine and busy island hopping! (photograph taken in normal sunlight, without flash)
Removal- Not at all a pain! It comes off well with normal cleanser and water, though I always use my normal make up remover and then wash my face with my cleanser!
What I like about Dior Capture Totale Radiance Restoring Serum Foundation :
- Great medium to buildable coverage
- Amazing staying power
- Lovely finish- one to die for
- You a need a very little product
- Has SPF
- Photographs well
What I don’t like about Dior Capture Totale Radiance Restoring Serum Foundation:
- very expensive
- availability might be an issue in some Indian cities
- Not suitable for flash photography
A perfect 5 for me, even though it’s pricey, but the quality and the finish is to die for and of course comes from the House of Dior!
If you are looking for to splurge on high end cosmetics- please, please, try this out! You will not regret!
