After having horrible experience with Maxfactor Lipfinity Glowing Sepia Lipstick and super horrible experience with Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipsticks, I was kind of scared of experimenting with a new liquid lipstick with claims of long lasting. However since I am a working woman and I don’t get opportunity to touch up my makeup on many a days, I am always in a search of long lasting makeup. After reading many positive reviews on Dianna of London 2000 wonderful lipstick I decided to get a one for my office wear. Let’s see how it fared on me.
An amazing lip product in a liquid form with iridescent, metallic effect, smooth on the lips, this uncommon texture doesn’t feel heavy, nor greasy, the finish stay longer for 24 hours allowing perception in every occasion.
Tips to apply:For a perfect finish, outline your lips with Diana lip liner selecting a shade similar to the lipstick shade chosen and fill in gently with 2000 kisses wonderful lipstick. For a more gorgeous effect use Diana Extreme shine lip gloss over lipstick.

My views on Diana of London 2000 Kisses Wonderful Lipstick- Icy Brown:
In my opinion this is a very good liquid lipstick which does its job nicely. I don’t understand why this product is not very popular among the ladies? May be due to non-availability or lack of proper advertisement by the company-could be the reasons but in my humble view this lipstick really deserves more applauds and appreciation than what it is getting right now. There are so many good points about this lipstick- The lipstick is nicely pigmented, light-weight with smooth, rich and creamy consistency. The finish is almost soft matte which neither looks harsh nor magnifies the imperfections of lips be it dryness, flakiness, or chappiness.
Although Iam not a fan of metallic finish still I got this one because this frost finish is not very prominent one- it only imparts a slight golden sheen to this soft brown shade, which simply looks gorgeous. However it does have the tendency to seeps in between the fine lines and accentuate them but believe me after experiencing many other liquid lipsticks, I can safely bet that it is only half a culprit as compared to other liquid lipsticks (read Maxfactor and Revlon here).Awwal toh this range is long lasting owing to its waterproof nature- it easily lasts upto 6 hours without moving so I don’t need any touch-up during the day. Secondly when this colour fades, it leaves behind a pigmented stain which is the lighter version of original metallic soft brown colour, so my lips are never ever devoid of colour. Another good point- it is absolutely transfer proof i.e. it never leaves those coloured stains on coffee mugs which looks awkward. During summers or different weather conditions other than winters- this beauty never feel drying, but now a days sometimes it is giving me that uncomfortable feeling of dryness, so I apply it only after applying lip balm or Vaseline on my lips.
However I have some minor rants also with this lipstick. It has faint varnish type smell (perhaps due to so many chemicals present in it), which feels yucky but the good thing is that it disappears very soon. Another con for me is its non-availability. I have to only order it online, I don’t get this one in any cosmetic shop of my town and to get a one without swatch test is not my cup of tea.
What I like about Diana of London 2000 Kisses Wonderful Lipstick – Icy Brown:
- Long wearing and waterproof, average wear time is 6 hours.
- Dries quickly to a soft matte finish.
- Does not transfer once dry
- Very lightweight and very easy to apply.
- Very pigmented, only one swipe is sufficient to give required colour to your lips.
- As with all liquid lipstick this one also neither bleeds, nor get smudged.
- Never give that tugging or pulling oflips feeling.
- Value for money, little goes a long way.
What I don’t like about Diana of London 2000 Kisses Wonderful Lipstick – Icy Brown:
- Smells weird
- Can accentuate and settles into fine lines although in a very minor way, but still it does.
- Not moisturising.
Rating: 4.5/5(deducting 0.5 marks for availability issue).
