Lakme Nine to Five Lipstick Vermillion Fired – Presently, I am in love with coral shades and keep picking these kinds of shades all the time in lipsticks and glosses. For sometime I was looking for long wearing lipsticks because reapplying in between classes is something I do not prefer at all. The shop assistant told me that only matte lipsticks stay that long. I thought of picking a Lakme nine to five lipstick as it was affordable and once again there was a coral matte shade too.

My take on Lakme Nine to Five Lipstick Vermillion Fired:
One thing that I must mention about this lipstick is its name- Vermillion Fired, its so confusing because vermillion is supposedly red while it’s a coral shade. I have medium complexion with warm undertone and bright coral shades give a fresh look to my face. In a matte lipstick I was not actually expecting easy to glide onto lips texture that creamy lipsticks have but I was surprised when I used it for the first time. It just glides like a dream onto lips because its texture is not creamy but easy to apply.
The pigmentation of this lipstick is really appreciable as only one swipe adds good amount of color to the lips. This shade Vermillion Fired is a loud coral shade so it’s best avoided by people who dislike bold colors on lips. This coral shade has more pink in it than orange but somehow it looks more orange in pictures. I would define this solely as a day wear shade. It smells sweet and conceals lip pigmentation to a great extent. An added benefit of this shade is that it can be used as a blush too. Once blended it acts as a perfect creamy coral blush.
Although this lipstick stays on lips for 3 plus hours yet its matte texture is a little tricky especially in winters. If worn on unexfoliated lips, then it accentuates the flakes and lips look uneven. However my only complain is that it settles in between fine lines which I dislike. Also there is no spf value in these lippies which is again disappointing. Otherwise it’s a pure delight to wear this whether its summer or winter solely for the sake of the shade.
