When MAC launched VIVA Glam Collection it was a massive hit. VIVA Glam Collection launched in 2013 is basically re-promotion of VIVA GLAM 1. But now they are in permanent line. There are total 6 shades in this collection numbering I, II, III, IV, V, and VI. It was famous singers Ricky Martin and Nicky Minaj who team up to raise HIV/AIDS awareness among young people around the globe. That’s how it is so famous and achieved tremendous success. MAC and 2 Singers team up together to provide helping hands towards women, men and childrens who are affected and living with HIV/AIDS by donating 100% of profit sales from this collection.
About MAC VIVA GLAM:-
In 1994, M·A·C introduced VIVA GLAM, an outspoken deep red that was universal in appeal and glamour. In 1997, a second lipstick was created VIVA GLAM II, a pinked mauve. VIVA GLAM III, a foxy brown plum launched in 2000. VIVA GLAM IV, a heartful rose charged with gold, introduced in March 2002. In March 2004, Viva Glam V makes its debut, a pure neutral pink with a delicious Lustre finish! VIVA GLAM VI, the newest member of the VIVA GLAM family, is a warm terracotta-plum with pearl finish. Wear it alone or finish it off with a coat of VIVA GLAM VI Lipglass. Every cent of the selling price of VIVA GLAM Lipstick and Lipglass is donated to the M·A·C AIDS Fund to support men, women, and children living with HIV and AIDS.
Price: 990 INR or $15 USD (permanent line)
My experience with MAC Satin Lipstick- VIVA GLAM II:-
MAC defines VIVA Glam II as Muted pink-beige with shimmer in Satin finish. Ok, the most important part. I don’t see any shimmer in it. don’t know why MAC used that in definition although I am happy it doesn’t have any shimmers in it I will talk about the packaging first. VIVA Glam Collection lipsticks are permanent collection but the packaging is partly different. It is sleek and black like any other regular line but the inner packaging is berry pink which is a signature trade packaging for VIVA GLAM Collection.
It is very opaque, one swipe can cover your lips but I usually pack on 2-3 times to get those fuller lips intensify the colour. The formula is satiny soft. Not at all drying neither creamy. Very smooth and moisturizing on lips. Glide on easily no tugging like matte lipsticks i.e Ruby woo. . Mattes and satins are highly pigmented enough to cover any pigments on lips. No wonder why these two formulas are my favorites. Although you will need to prep your lips nicely before applying such finishes. Staying power is also long quite around 4-5 hours or even more.
MAC Satin Lipstick VIVA GLAM II Swatches:
Coming to the shade It’s a hit or a miss for me wonder why?? – coz I am a colourful person loves bold colours on lips with no eye makeup except kohl and mascara this shade sometimes make me look sick or rather say look ghastly on me plus :stuggle: side by side :’-( This is my first VIVA Glam lipstick from the collection. While everyone running after VIVA I deep red matte blue undertone lipstick I picked Glam II a dull nude soft beige which sometimes looks horrible on me if I don’t balance my look with bronzers and line my lips with dark lip liner.
But guys this can be an must have shade for many and sometimes I fall in love with this shade which is very often but I do
