Hi sweeties…by now you all must be aware of my love for long staying makeup items. I have tried many products till now for that perfect long staying lipstick which did not require frequent touch-ups and still look as if freshly applied even at the end of the day. In my opinion Dianna of London Wonderful Lipcolour is one such Lipstick which is very close to this criteria, I remember I tried a lot many lipsticks before that and it was a series of trial and error- mostly error (read blunders) and every time I was left with the thought- Gosh again I’ve wasted my hard earned money on dud product like this.
I have tried Revlon Colorstay Overtime Lipcolour and was pretty much satisfied with it, when one tube of that lipstick was finished I went to a Revlon outlet to got a new one. On my enquiry that salesgirl handed over me a brochure on which there was all such praise for the captioned Lipcolour and she told me that first batch was sold out the very first day of its arrival only and if Iam interested I may come after two days when they are expecting fresh stock, and like an obedient child I was very much there as asked-my bad .
Salesgirl beamed and said- Mujhe pata tha aap zarur ayengi, see I have selected 3 shades of this fab lipcolour for you- being overwhelmed with her attentive gesture an idiot woman inside me didn’t bothered to even swatch that lipcolour and grabbed all the three-just looking at the colours. Watching me other ladies present there also started enquiring about that product. You can now make out how some dud product become instantly hit- it is majorly due to word of mouth publicity and marketing gimmick. Anyways to cut long story short I got all those lipcolors and the very next day I headed for a month in-house training at Trichi. After reaching there I applied this lipcolour and was left damn disappointed with this product (read the same in my experience with the product heading). I tried these lipcolors for three days straight hoping that may be another shades work for me, but nope every time the same failure and the bummer product. I thought of returning back the product but since I was out of the town for a month so it was not a feasible option, hence I tossed the product in my cupboard and since then it is quietly lying there, the product has also dried out a bit and now I even can’t think of applied it on my lips, it’s a sad affair, and I have really regretted buying this product.

My experience with Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipcolour in Top Tier Truffle (090):
The texture of the lipcolour appears creamy and smooth at a very first glance but soon after applying it you realizes that the texture is actually sticky and it dries super fast, so you need to be extra careful or else it will dry like a paint and give a very uneven finish to the lips (it may feel gooey at first, but then it starts to get sticky-this is how it dries).
Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipcolour in Top Tier Truffle Swatch:-
This stuff really smells horrible and I really cant stand the smell of it. After applying it feels tacky, chalky, super-matte and extremely drying. To offset the dryness, I applied a lip balm over the top, or a very light layer of balm before applying the colour so that it doesn’t prevent the liquid lipstick from fixing but then the color sort of balled up and started fading unevenly and gives a cracked appearance to my lips, so I was left with no choice but to chuck my lip-balm with this product.
This product not only dries out my lips but also flakes on to my teeth within few minutes of application. Although the product does not smudge or bleed but it does settles in fine lines and does accentuate even the most minute imperfection of the lips….so any body with dry and chapped lips stay as far away as possible from this product else it will really make your lips looks more flakey with several fine lines a.k.a.really ugly.
What I like about Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipcolour in Top Tier Truffle (090):
- Smudgeproof and Transfer proof.
- 30 ml.quantity lasts long.
- Sleek packaging.
What I don’t like about Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipcolour in Top Tier Truffle (090):
- Dries super fast so you have to be very careful while applying it.
- Dries to a chalky and tacky feel.
- Wears unevenly
- Using lip balm underneath can create patches of lipstick stain on the lips and it made the color uneven.
- The texture is very sticky and a bit heavy
- Post application after some time the color becomes like a sheet over your lips, so it just cracks and creases every time you move your lips or smile.
- Seeps in fine line.
- Smells weird.
- Accentuate all the imperfections of the lips- dryness, chappiness, fine lines.
- Tends to stick on the teeth.
Rating: 1/5 ( Fail Revlon, I want to give a big zero but only due to the reason that is a product from Revlon brand I’ve given it 1 out of 5).
Shall I repurchase it? Friends need I even tell this??????
