Hi all !
It is my first article on WISE SHE I have been a silent and regular reader of this blog and always wished to write for it. So , today I have come up with some do-it-yourself face mixes that will help you get your glow back. After a long stressful week , we all can see the damage on our skin (thanks to pollution and the stress we undergo everyday). Stress affects our skin by causing inflammation , blotchiness and redness because our brain sends the stress signals to vital organs , including the skin. Many of you may prefer to go to spas to relax your body and mind. But with these natural scrubs and cleansers I am going to share, you will ditch those expensive alternatives and fall in love with your skin
Here I am listing my favourite three :
PREPARATION TIME :
Hardly 5 minutes for each face mix.
1. BROWN SUGAR AND MILK MIX
Brown sugar acts like natural face scrub that helps to exfoliate your face and get rid of facial fatigue.
Take a bowl and cut open three sachets of granulated brown sugar into it (easily available in the market but I have used white sugar instead). Add a dash of milk and a dollop of your everyday moisturiser , along with an easy helping of honey , and whip it well. Now , use this thick mixture as a scrub.
NOTE : If you want to store scrub for later use, skip the milk and just save sugar and moisturizer in a pot and freshly add the milk whenever you are using it.
2. OAT MEAL SCRUB
Ground oats can be used as natural exfoliators for the skin (you can buy them from the market but sometimes I use DR. QUAKER’S oats too).
Mix them with honey in a bowl , a dash of lemon and some milk. Use the pack evenly across your face. This stimulates your blood circulation and helps you de-stress.
NOTE : The oatmeal should not have too many chunky elements – make sure the oats are well grounded so they don’t scratch your skin.
3. GREEN TEA CLEANSER
This one is my personal favourite and really helps to lighten my adamant dark circles. I am sure you all will love this new remedy for those baggy eyes ( please excuse my chipped nail )
Run two green tea bags ( I use LIPTON’S) under hot water and when they have cooled down a bit , place one on each eye for just two minutes.
Green tea contents are also used as a quick face cleanser. After soaking a tea bag in hot water ( or having the green tea in the morning) , cut the bag open and pour the contents into a bowl full of hot water. You can also add your liquid face wash, but it should not be very creamy or like a gel , to the mix for some texture. Now , evenly apply , massage and wash.
Try them once in a week and as I said, you will love your skin and me too for sharing this
Have a happy week. Take care!
