Hi everyone! I am back with another set of home remedies and this time we shall be targeting dark knees and elbows. That’s a problem that most Asians face. Dark knees might be something that stop you from flaunting your legs. Similarly, many girls prefer wearing long sleeved clothing to hide their dark, rough elbows.
I am sharing some home remedies with you all to get rid of this problem. As with any other home remedy, you will have to be patient and give time to yourself before you see sparkling clean knees and elbows!
Baking soda & milk.
Add some milk to the baking soda until it is a little damp. Apply the paste on knees or elbows and scrub it in circular motions. Repeat thrice a week.
Lemon juice & gram flour
Add lemon juice to gram flour until it dampens. Scrub it on your knees/elbows, wash off with cool water.
Turmeric powder, sugar & olive oil
Mix all the three things well and scrub the area. Wash off with cool water.
Mint leaves & lemon juice.
Boil a handful of mint leaves in half a cup of water. Add juice of half a lemon. Soak a cotton ball in this mixture and apply on your knees/elbows. Wash off after 15-20 minutes.
Lemon & sugar
Rub a slice of lemon with sugar crystals on it until the sugar dissolves. Wash off with cool water.
Honey & aloe vera
Mix the two ingredients and apply on your knees/elbows. Wash off after half an hour.
Lemon juice, coconut oil & towel
Yogurt and Vinegar
Mix yogurt and vinegar and apply on the affected area. Wash off after 20 minutes.
Other than these remedies, it is very important that you keep your knees/elbows well moisturized. Dryness can lead to further darkening of skin.
