MAC Pearl glide liners launched with a limited edition collection two years back but now are included in permanent line. Anamika had already reviewed one of these when they launched first here – and today am sharing another lovely colour from the range – Black Swan. As now they are part of permanent line they are housed in black packaging but the one I picked was from Archie’s collection hence its white.

My take on MAC Pearl Glide Intense Eye Liner Black Swan :
Shade – Black Swan is described as black with pearl at MAC’s website, it is cool toned greyish black shade with silver blue pearly shimmer to it. I looked around but there is nothing close to this shade – it is unique and is a welcome change from regular black liners which looks so boring at times.
Texture – They are extremely creamy and glide so smoothly on lids, no tugging or pulling. They just layers so easily and opaque in one single swipe. I love how creamy and effortless they are to work with but again as you need to sharpen it is pain at times.
Pigmentation – This shade is absolutely opaque in one single stroke and I don’t need to layer it even if I do they feel very light weight and creamy.
Staying power – Once they are set, they will not smudge or fade easily. I get solid 7 – 8 hrs of wear with these and then I have to remove them with good makeup remover. As there is high shimmer content you cannot use this on waterline but on upper lash line it looks so pretty and never irritates my eyes.
What I like about MAC Pearl Glide Intense Eye Liner Black Swan :
- The shade is absolutely gorgeous, very different and unique.
- The creamy texture which made me buys all the shades from this range.
- They stay fresh looking for hrs and doesn’t fade easily even on oily lids.
What I don’t like about MAC Pearl Glide Intense Eye Liner Black Swan :
- The fact that you need to sharpen it, there is lot of product wastage.
Ratings – 5/5
Well, not all but I did tried 4 of the shades and all are so consistent, they are gorgeously pigmented and are opaque in one single stroke. I highly recommend you to try this line if you are little experimental and are looking for something interesting to wear on upper lash line then regular BLACK or BROWN.
