Although there are a few more shades from Inglot to be reviewed in eye shadows but I thought I’d give you a break from Inglot and review an eye shadow from Loreal’s infaillible range instead. I am in love with this range of eye shadows. Scroll down to know more.
About L’Oreal Paris Color Infaillible Eye Shadow:
L’Oréal Paris unveils its latest eye shadow. Ultra-intense colour, up to 24 hour long-lasting hold and velvety soft feel.
ENHANCED COLOUR INTENSITY
Infallible Eyeshadows contain an exceptionally high level of colour pigments, for an intense colour finish. Additional binders (oils), coat and magnify the colour pigments revealing beautiful shimmer and maximized colour.
24 HOUR HOLD (CREASE-PROOF AND WATERPROOF)
The colour adheres to the eyelid as durably and comfortably as a second skin. The Infallible formula stands up to the average woman’s 11,000 blinks per day. It also resists to rubbing, creasing and does not run into the fine lines around the eyes.
A VELVETY, SENSUAL TEXTURE
With a formulation that lies between the comfort of a cream and the ease of application of a powder, Infallible eyeshadow contains an exceptionally high proportion of binders (oils) for the softest, most velvety eyeshadow. The eyeshadow melts gently from the fingertips to the eyelid on application. The result is a rich and satiny look.

My experience with L’Oreal Paris Color Infaillible Eye Shadow Hourglass Beige:
These are the smoothest eye shadows I have ever used, texture wise. This is the USP of this range. They come in small flat pans which are designed in a way that they look really appealing. When you open the cap, there is a pressing lid which you have to pick away and there you have your pressed eye shadow. Be cautious while picking the lid, as sometimes part of the eye shadow cake remains attached with the lid and falls off when you invert it. It happened with me in another shade from this range. I picked up the fragments, placed them back and pressed. It works fine now, but then it sure gives you a ‘heart in the mouth’ situation for a moment.
The texture is the first thing that you notice in this eye shadow. You touch it with your finger tip and you will be amazed with the feel and pigmentation that it offers. Velvety smooth and ultra pigmented it is. One thing that I noticed in this particular eye shadow is that you can use it with your fingers only. It gives a nice pigmentation with the fingers; the brush just cannot pick up this eye shadow. It is not the case with other eye shadows of this range but just with this one. So that means you have to keep an extra cloth with you to wipe off from the finger at the time of usage or you’ll end up transferring it to your face while doing rest of the makeup.
It is a beautiful metallic beige shade which has variety of usage in eye make ups. You can use it as a highlighter below the brow bone, in the tear duct area, on the lid like I have used or pack on some other shade to add a metallic finish to an otherwise dull eye shadow. It does have some fallout but that is minimal and manageable; not something that is troublesome.
Now, coming to the staying power- it does not live on my eyes for 24 hours, nor that I have tried it either. I could see some creasing after 7 hours but then that is long enough for me and I didn’t even use any sort of eye primer beneath. I do have oily lids for reference. So, I think the staying power is really long and would not disappoint. Some shades from this range have even longer staying power.
So, overall I am impressed with everything. The only drawback is that it does not work with the brushes but that is the case with this shade alone.
What I like about L’Oreal Paris Color Infaillible Eye Shadow Hourglass Beige:
- Super classy packaging.
- Pressed eye shadow; have amazing velvety texture.
- Excellent pigmentation.
- Minimal fallout.
- Versatile shade.
- Stays for really long.
What I do not like about L’Oreal Paris Color Infaillible Eye Shadow Hourglass Beige:
- You cannot pick up this eye shadow with brushes; will have to work with finger tip for this shade.
- The shadow can remain attached to the inner lid while opening and may fall off which leads to huge loss. The trick is to rotate the inner black lid pressing against the eye shadow cake, and then lift it off.
- 24 hour claim is false.
Until next time, take care!
