It has almost been a year since I started looking for one particular lipstick shade – Peach. Yesterday was my lucky day I guess. I happened to go to the drugstore which was when I came across the new Revlon Colorburst Matte Lipstick range. The SA suggested I have a look at the shades. I was reluctant at first but then felt I should maybe just give it a try. I was so glad I made that decision. Phew. There it was. My Peach. THE Peach.
How can I leave the without it? So I bought it and now decided to share my experience with you.
About Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm:
A matte finish that’s beyond plush. Balm that’s beyond comforting. Our triple butter complex of Shea, coconut and mango butter nourishes lips.
Price: Rs 800 for 2.4gms.You may get it here.
My take on Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm – No 235 (Mischievous):
It comes in a jumbo pen shaped plastic package with a plastic cap. The color of the pen is the same as that of the shade. Coming to the shade, like I mentioned before it is the perfect peach. One swipe gives you the perfect nude look (absolute love ).
The minute the Balm touches your lips you can feel the cooling effect of the mint it contains and also smells so great. The shade is not too pigmented so you need more than a few layers to give you a sheer opaque finish. Even though it is matte it doesn’t dry out your lips too much making it perfectly attractive. The texture is very smooth making it glide across the lips with no necessity of tugging.
Looks great on fair to medium skinned girls, but unfortunately may not look too great on dark skinned beauties.
But there are a lot of other great shades in this range which suit almost everyone for any occasion. This shade is perfect for a movie or a romantic evening with a loved one.
The staying power is decent, lasting 4-5 hours.
What I like about Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm – No 235 (Mischievous):
- Beautiful shade.
- Sturdy packaging.
- Great texture.
- Gives a cooling effect.
What I don’t like about Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm – No 235 (Mischievous):
- Not very pigmented (which might also be a pro for many)
Overall rating: 4/5
Final verdict: It is an absolutely beautiful shade. Matte fans need to lay their hands on this and will not regret it.
