10 Must Follow Hair Care Rules
Hair is as important part of beauty as the face is because they enhance the beauty of your face. I know how it feels on a bad hair day. Even the makeup can’t save us and after seeing pictures we wonder that they could have been better if the hair looked good
So here are the rules that I religiously follow to avoid a bad hair day as much as I can (you know there are somedays destined as bad hair days)
1. OIL YOUR HAIR BEFORE SHAMPOO *ALWAYS*
This is one thing that I swear by. No matter whether your scalp is oily or dry you should always oil your hair. What I do to avoid looking *yuck* with oiled hair either I oil my hair before sleeping or 1 hour before shampoo.
So this really helps me to bear the chemical torture on my scalp and nourish it with so many vitamins and proteins. You can also make your oiling routine more nutritious for example by using
- A blend of essential oils
- Vitamin capsules
- Mixing 2 or 3 oils
While choosing the essential oil please make sure that the fragrance suits you and doesn’t give you a headache afterwards.
2. DILUTE THE SHAMPOO
All of us know how chemically load our shampoos are. So I always dilute my shampoo with some water. It is also easier to work that way to create a generous lather.
3. SAY NAY TO HARD WATER
Hard water damages your hair like nothing. Using hard water can increase the dryness in your hair. Boring water is generally Hard Water so make sure you avoid it.
So many things have been said about conditioners. I won’t like to repeat the same things here. I would only say always condition your hair after shampooing and follow this religiously.
5. COMBING THE CONDITIONER
While combing wet hair makes your hair weak and brittle but you should always comb your hair after applying the conditioner.
This spreads the conditioner on each and every strand of your hair and give you the real effect of conditioning. 😍 And mark one thing the comb should be a shampoo comb or a wide toothed comb.
6. AVOID BLOW DRYING
Keep your blow dryer for special occasions when you are in a hurry. Don’t make it a routine and help your hair 😁
Continuous blow drying means continuous exposure to heat this clearly means a lot really a hell lot of damage .
7. USE A HEAT PROTECTION SPRAY
Implement this in your routine if you want healthy hair.
Always yous a heat protection spray before *straightening* *curling* *blow drying* basically any heat involing process.
8. AVOID SETTING SPRAYS
Remember that last time when you got ready in the salon and the next day you washed your hair… “Aaarrrggghhhh”- isn’t it the expression that came to your mind? Yes my dearies Hair Sprays do make your hair look prim and proper throughout the party but ultimately they cause a lot of damage if used continuously .
So just *avoid*
9. BACK COMBING
While back combing gives your pouf that pumped up and sassy bouncy look it leaves the hair tangled badly. And that too the roots of hair. So if you want to harass your hair please go on with back combing .
And if you really have to do it than use the tip of a tail comb to open the web of back combed hair.
10. USE A HAIR MASK
Try to use a hair mask once in a week to improve overall health of your hair. These masks can be homemade or formulated ones. I’ll definitely do a post dedicated to some DIY hair masks.
