Hey all beauty geeks!!! Skincare is an absolute priority for everyone. Maitri, Ira, Ruhee, Shivangi (to name a few) have always been a skincare pioneer on ‘Wiseshe’. I love reading their articles on various interesting facts and DIYs. Keeps me aware of several of simple but very effective practices that can definitely change the way your skin looks. One of my favorite is a regular exfoliation. More than physical exfoliation, I am a believer in chemical exfoliation. Somehow I feel physical exfoliation can be abrasive and may alter the skin texture at very minute levels. However, it is not that I don’t love my scrubs or stay miles away from physical exfoliation.
I prefer physically exfoliating my face twice a week for a deep cleansing. Helps me keep away the dry skin and blackheads. And my ‘weapon’ of choice is Dermatouch Skin Perfecting System Facial Brush. This brush was a kind of an ‘experiment’ purchase. Read further to know did it pass my test???
About Dermatouch Skin Perfecting System Facial Brush Set:
I purchased the facial brush set from amazon. The brush is described as:
‘Dermatouch® Skin Perfecting System Facial Brush Set is a professional home use technology that gently removes the impurities that washing alone will leave behind–helping your skin to breath, rejuvenate, revive and look younger. There are two brush heads included. The all white brush head is for normal to sensitive skin and the black and white brush head is for combination to oily skin. Adding cleanser or face scrub to brush is recommended for enhanced absorption. Cleanses better than your hands in just one minute–gentle enough to use twice a day ‘
Price : $30.
Directions to use: Add Dermatouch cleanser or exfoliation to brush. On a damp face, gently move the brush using a small circular motion. Rinse face with warm water. Pat dry.
My take on Dermatouch Skin Perfecting System Facial Brush Set:
Dermatouch Skin Perfecting System Facial Brush is an electronic brush that is designed specifically for deep cleaning your skin. The brush comes with two brushes – white and black and white. The white one is for sensitive skin and the other B&W is for combination skin. The facial brush is battery operated and requires 2AA battery (not included). The brush offers two speeds for cleaning; one faster than the other. The brush uses the rotating bristles to clean the skin.
I bought this brush because I wanted a good facial brush for exfoliation. However, I was not ready to shell 120-150$ on Clarisonic, just because I knew I will not use it very regularly. Rather than buying a facial brush for such a huge amount, I prefer spending money on good skincare products.
I use the facial brush twice a week with a cleanser of my choice. I prefer the lowest speed and the white brush head. I do not put much pressure while moving the brush around on the face. I follow the instructions given at the back of the box to clean various areas of the face.
Performance: I love what this brush does to my skin. My face feels like a newborn’s skin after I use this. The brush effectively removes every single trace of makeup, sunscreen, dirt, etc. from your face to reveal a clean and smooth skin. You need to be careful with the movement though. Exerting more pressure may cause it to be abrasive on your skin. The face feels tight and refreshed after the deep cleansing. No open pores or ugly blackheads. I also use this as a part of my weekly facial routine. The slow and steady rotation provides a relaxing facial massage. Twin benefits.
The brush is quite powerful with only 2AA battery as the source. I have been using it for more than six months now and never had any complaint.
Brush heads: Both the brushes are soft to touch. They don’t feel harsh on the skin. I prefer the white brush head as its the softer one. The B&W is for combination skin and has slightly harder black bristles. I use the B&W brush head occasionally for my forehead.
Packaging: The brush and the brush heads come packed in a cardboard box. I have retained the box as I feel its best to keep the brush in the box itself. The brush has a battery compartment. It also has a soft, rubber grip that eases the application.

What I do not love about Dermatouch Skin Perfecting System Facial Brush Set:
